I'm waiting for the Q3A remake with updated graphics. Weapons, maps, and skill is all you need.
PSN+ has nothing to do with SE. That would not make any sense business wise.
LOL! I never understood this hate for the monthly fee. When you play an MMO more than likely if you like it, that will become your sole source of entertainment for a looooooong time. When I played FFXI I never bought or played any other game really. Same thing when I was playin EQ back in the day.
The whole point of an mmo is to keep you playing month after month. They usually update content consistently throughout the year, well with a large company like SE, and Blizz.

If you are having slow downs you more than likely have too many things eating all your memory. The other thing is you have a virus/spyware/malware. In either case this is 2010 and most everyone should know how to use and secure a computer. If you don't that is your own fault because information regarding computers is readily available on the internet.
My brother has an asrock mobo and that thing has been running strong for a few years. He has a cheap build like the one in the article, maybe not as cheap but certainly not over $750 bucks.

I totally agree, from summer '04 to sometime in '07 when I got a ps3 the only thing I played was ffxi. I bought Xenosaga, GTA collection, Silent Hill 3 but I never played them until I canceled my account for a while. If I get hooked on FFXIV I will probably follow the same path but this time I probably won't buy the games I won't play. :D

LOL! Ya to bad clips and snips were in FFXI so not all that new. As well as most of the "New" monsters they have on there. Doesn't matter on FFXIV like white on rice. Hopefully they can improve on FFXI and make this an even better experience I can waste a few years of my life on. :D

I agree, but for the love of god they are horrid to look at on my beautiful plasma. I'm not a graphics whore but it's hard to look at and remember they used to be considered beautiful! Unwrapping FFVII from the plastic was like the 2nd coming of christ for me.
LOL! When I was playing FFXI religiously I would dodge peoples calls to do missions or level up. Only time I would answer was for a chick. :D

Even consoles of yesteryear failed! My NES didn't work after so long due to dust I guess. My SNES fried on me a few years after I got it. PS1, had to be turned on it's side. PS2 had DRE, at least that was an easy fix just clean it off. PS3 40gb lens just went out today :( Tried cleaning it but didn't fix it. I'll have to order a new one for 70 bucks and hope it fixes the problem, or buy a new slim.

As you can see some people have a lot of gear and not a lot of space. This wasn't in an enclosed area, it was in an open air area. There is no reason for the 360 to overheat, no other systems were on. Just more overheating hardware from MS. Look a look at any computers cooling system and look at the 360's. Notice any difference??
LOL! FFXI has so much good content it's ridiculous. If you didn't like the grind that's understandable, but the storylines were crazy good.
In the time it takes to download 30-50 GB of data, I can WALK to Best Buy buy the game, walk back home and still beat the download by a 25+ hours. Not only that but I won't be limited to playing the game on only 1 system. In the case of PS 5 systems that I would have to download it to each system. People saying DLC is he 2nd coming of christ are nuts. Everyone would need fiber lines, plus the servers they dole the software out of need to have limitless upload as well.
