You people obviously didn't play ffxi. If you did you would know that the ps2 was the downfall of item management due to memory issues. Which will more than likely be a problem 5 years down the road. Disagree all you want but anyone that played ffxi knows this.

If all they do for ps4 is add a more memory, newer gpu, and more spus they could release it a few years down the line at a 300-350 price point with minimal to no loss. The graphics would be better and the dev tech would stay the same so devs don't have to learn a new system.

Those didn't come until the first expansion pack. The game started with the original 6 jobs; WAR, MNK, THF, RDM, WHM, BLM. In the US we got the game a year after the jps, and we got the expansion right off the bat. LOL having an MMO run at 1080p on a console with great graphics is laughable at best. The resolution isn't anything to be upset about. Hell even the delayed release isn't. I am disappointed they are releasing it on consoles, as console players seemed to be the most clueless in ffxi. First why do they call it elder game?? Second Wow is not some hardcore MMO. It is a casual MMO made to be very accessible to everyone.
These devices claim to be HD consoles. Therefore there is a reason to be upset that they are not displaying native HD resolutions. Yes the console or tv may upscale but upscaling and native content are different. LCD tvs claim a dynamic contrast ratio of 30,000:1 when the native is more like 10,000:1. There is a difference.
