1st… Microsoft counts a pc gamer as an Xbox gamer if you are gaming with windows.
2nd… cod actually will not close for some reasons/circumstances and counts players as active even though they are not playing it.
So not only is your argument not correct, but there are shady tactics inflating player numbers going on.
1. Microsoft has the most broken controller on the market known as the elite.
Version 1 and 2 are both cheap and are pressed to last more than year in a players hands.
2. Microsoft will gladly continue making said cheap products because they have never been held accountable due adding extended warranties on known flawed products like the 360 and the elite series controllers to avoid mass recalls.
I disagree because of the bad analogy.
Just like before the 70’s and after, phenomenal music was and is still made.
What killed the music industry is marketing and streaming packages that not only take more money from musicians but also is a pay to be heard scenario.
This argument would be best for gamepass style scenarios in gaming.
