Well… being that Xbox did not make exclusives outside of halo, fable, and forza for two generations…
Why would they believe in “exclusives”.
Everything else was bought.
Technically, even halo was bought before Apple could finalize the contract with Bungie for halo.
So, in 3 generations.. they have never released a in house AAA ip on any level vs the competition.
Everything digital is a data collector.
Well, being that Microsoft is the lowest out of the platforms that sell the game..
Buying Activision, in long term, made up the loss of game sales of said game. By a mile.
But, being cod is tanking as of right now, will be interesting to see if Microsoft can actually save a franchise rather than destroy it.
Before gamepass we had demo discs then free demo downloads.
THE best way for players to try out games and kept developers in check via the quality of their games.
Now, we pay to try games(if we are lucky) and a large quantity of said games are in need of patch updates.
That “momentum” was full of media money and exclusive contracts.
Ie money down the drain.
That is why they stopped that spending and went into acquisitions.
No frames are solid if half of them are ai generated.
Creates laggy inputs etc..
It is “not forgot”…
Microsoft ships in quantities…
Of which means the demand is too low to fill an overseas shipment.
So they wait until there are enough orders from outlets to fulfill said shipments.
Of which, being that it has been a year, there just is not enough demand.
Not to be that guy…
But Microsoft was the one forced to put extended warranties or face recalls on their elite controllers for knowingly selling faulty hardware… again. *cough 360
So not sure what you are trying to say.
Ehhh
Battlefields have always suffered with rubber banding and stuttering.
Not that this makes the games bad, but at least since bf3, the games have launched with connections and the above…
Especially so when the demand is very high like bf3’s launch and the hype around bf6.
That is because Nintendo is not a competitor to Microsoft nor a threat…
Microsoft throws all their dirty marketing at Sony to keep them in check.
Believe it, or not… Microsoft plays dirty with their media partners. They even have been sued for it.
Said government has handed Microsoft the military per computing/os systems.
Said current government favors monopolies if you are scratching the right backs.
So much so they have cut regulations monitoring said companies in favor of throwbacks.(ie money to the politicians)
There “should be” but there is not.
Microsoft’s full intent of getting in gaming was to combat Sonys innovations in computing hardware.
Force their hand to comply and...
😂😂 at least Sony had the know how to wave a white flag on a direction and a game..
The funny part is how much better concord was over crackdown 3 in every single possible way. From false promises, overhype to actual gameplay…
Microsoft does NOT make games. They hate spending money on making games. And they HATE taking risks…
How are they ever to innovate gaming when they do not take risks?!
Microsoft wants one thing only...
The majority of Microsoft’s push were third party deals, early content on third party games, marketing and advertising.
Take away their third party deals and they had next to nothing besides halo, fable, and forza.
That “push” of the 360 launch was all to gain market share… they succeeded, then cut Peter Moore and the rest is history.
Phil had nothing to do with the 360.
That would have been Peter Moore and a massive marketing program.
They are doing it to put pressure on Sony via gamepass.
Since it is a game from their acquisition and not from Microsof themselves….
It should at least still be a good game.
But obviously they are trying to control the market in order to get more subscribers.
Absolutely anything to do with the product is in the budget.
That is the very definition of BUDGET.
The majority of the budget is marketing and not producing the game.
Then said companies can tag anything else they want in said “budget”.
And the one thing that gta games have is commercials galore.
Early hands on… in the budget.
Review copies.. in the budget.
Cut scenes can always look amazing.
Gameplay is what we see the majority of time when playing the game.
They would have to make software.
Buying up the software developers have yet to provide much more than third party games that were already in development with all hardware versions in production.
Ie there is no “software” trust with Microsoft.
This is why they are dead last.
The “possibilities” of games made by Microsoft has been just that for over a decade.
Hence the tag line “wait till next year”.
Could…
But the obsessive behavior from the old Bungie fans runs deep.
Like seek help type of deep.
They trolled the Bungie forums until Bungie made it mandatory to have owned destiny to use said forums.
I can see them continuing the hate.
You are talking about a time when a player received ALL content for a game.
Now, that $80 is an entry fee more than “buying a game” with season passes, microtransactions etc..
I know most games were $40 outside of imports or multiple disc games.
In 2000 they went up to $50.
Saying something existed for $80 does not represent the average asking price of the time.
