WOW 1000%
I was expecting maybe 150% or something
I expect PS3 world-wide sales to overtake 360 by next year
The Japanese love the small gadgets so I guess PS3 Slim will sell like mad
M$ 360 will crash and burn this Xmas
I don't know anyone who is getting a 360, whilst 4-5 my mates are getting a PS3 Slim or have already got one.
Now my group of friends represents the wider world at large lol. So going by my data, PS3 will outsell 360 5-1 this Xmas
I said this to my friend. The losses MS have incurred from their game division would make almost any other company in the world pull out from the industry with their tales between their legs.
These are astronomical losses we are talking about here. You do wonder what MS is gaining financially from being in the gaming industry.
It has the possibility of being either:
Legacy of Kain
Kingdom Hearts
Dark Cloud
Final Fantasy 7 ("familiar" right?)
I highly doubt it is Twisted Metal.
Well I can see why. I'm getting my FIRST PS3 when I get my Slim next month.
I've been holding out for my PS3 for about 2 years. Seriously. Sounds like a fanboy (well...I am) but I've never thought of getting a 360. I have just waited for the PS3s price to be slashed.
I'm sure there are millions more like me who have held off for a PS3 until this price-cut. So the $299 PS3 Slim is like mana from heaven to all us PS1/PS2 fans!
Ha the site has been updated.
This was only a limited offer and even M$ are not that desperate
360 will get trounced worldwide this Christmas believe meh.
This Craig guy is laughable.
Ha ha he hu he.
Ah ah he he hu ha.
lol how the hell are M$ going to shrink the 360 when it already overheats, making it into a small box would make the insides like an oven, potentially bringing the fail rate of a 360 Slim up from 54% to about 75% fail rate.
I wonder eactly how much money M$ lose because of the RROD and three year warranty. All those repair costs, shipping/postal costs.
Considering 33-54% of the 30 million 360s have RROD'ed at least once, you add up the cost to repair a great deal of those for the customer.
It must be an astronomical figure.
So M$ is desperate to sell more console and this 'price-cut' is a means to that. But in a way they are shooting themself in the foot as they'll ha...
I sent a strong worded and critical email to the idiot that wrote that 'Slimmed PS3 won't save Sony' article on pcworld.com. He sent an email back saying making excuses about fanboys and what not.
That does not excuse the fact that that article is poor.
That article was excellent. I agree with every point really.
Ha ha that is laughable.
Surely this is too bad to be true, right?
Sorry but 2009 belongs to Sony anyway
This could be the greatest racing game of all time!
1000 cars!!
Full damage!!
80 tracks!!
This is an absolute disgrace of epic proportions on Microsoft's part.
I'm still baffled and angry as to how the hell they are getting away with this.
If this was any other large company, there would be worldwide uproar.
54% !?!?!?!?!?
10% is acceptable.
12% is poor.
15% is bad.
25% is disgraceful as that is 1/4, which is not acceptable in any way but...
54% ??!?!?!
BTW the part the blog is referring to is right at the end of the podcast at like 1hr 52
Is it going to be released this year in EUROPE or N.America??
I think the former. GT is huge in Europe and I hope it gets it first as a gift for not jumping in bed with the 360 like 75% of the US.
Ha ha ha is that blob Gabe Newell then?!?!
I'm sorry to anyone who is overweight but...my, that is a sight for sore eyes.
I think Valve and Mr. Blobby here are a bunch of Microsoft fanboys. Despicable. He should learn self-discipline before spewing words from that fat mouth, spitting bits of food as he does so.
Sony will continue riding a mega-wave of sales if you look at their schedule of hit titles in the pipeline.
Uncharted 2 will ensure a massive volume of consoles continue to be sold. Next comes GT5 in December which will cause hysteria in Europe. Shortly after, it continues with the Japanese infected with hysteria after FFXII is released on the 17th.
Next, Heavy Rain will cause some kind of buzz with hardcore gamers then God of War III and GT5 in Europe will compl...
