Vita is a better hardware device than 3DS in every way, so why did it get crushed? Software. Exclusive software moves mountains.

Look at this year. While 3DS is getting great exclusive after great exclusive, Vita has become an afterthought and just a place to dump indie games or ports or the occasional exclusive super niche dungeon crawler.

Lol all you want Wii U has the most incredible software library of all 3 consoles out right now. It might have less titles overall, but it has more great ones.

This game could sell 10 mil over the holidays without breaking much of a sweat.

Sorry, it gets PC, PS3 ports too. Does it get exclusives? no. Not anymore. Not for years really by all significant measures.

Metacritic does not do publisher of the year awards, try again. Metacritic says they do not do them because Publishers release different amounts of games and the rankings do not take that into account.
