Backwards compatibility is a luxury and a wonderful one when it's available BUT it's not a necessity. Unless a particular system has more than one model available, such as one with BC and one without, then it does not influence my purchase of the system.
No one busts into your home to take away your old system when you buy a new one and the small inconvenience of having more than one system hooked up or having to hook a system up once in a while to play my older game ...
I have zero issues with this Kickstarter. As I see it the service is designed for two things:
1. New companies with low capital to get a product or idea off the ground and to market.
2. Defunct or long dormant projects and ideas that need commitment to receive additional funding.
Shenmue 3 falls into category 2. The series had been dormant for well over a decade and the past titles didn't sell well enough to warrant finishing the sequel. ...
Glad to see these controllers. I have one of the systems and was afraid to use the controller in case I wear it out or break it.
FFXIII had the worst battle system of all main entry FF games.
Zero interest.
I love retro games and have a pretty substantial library but I don't see the need for a system that plays cartridges when every single one of these titles would still be playable on current systems and PC.
Having a cartridge to plug in is not going to change my experience. About the only cool thing I personally find with this project is that it would be neat to have some new games on the shelf.
It's called sarcasm based on Nintendo's complete lack of understanding how the internet functions. Only recently did they start allowing more freedom in their online games.
If Ninteodo assisted does that mean it only allows you to pair up with random people, or have to put in a friend code, or you can't have voice chat? Or perhaps they just don't think online is necessary at all.
No classes is a good thing. Partners only in a large war based game is an awful thing.
No, it's not, in the same way that a CEO of a company not reinvesting in his employees or in his business isn't doing enough.
I can understand her frustration.
On the one hand, Notch doesn't owe anyone anything. He created a game that became wildly successful and has made him richer than he will ever need to be but he has no obligations to continue doing anything he doesn't want to.
On the other hand, it is gamers that like Amber that gained him this status and the developers of the past who's work he built upon. As she said, he has enough money to fund hundreds of indi...
Why the hell would you own a PS4 for gaming and not be on PS+?
K10 and .300 Knockout
Look at that clickbait picture.
This shouldn't raise any eyebrows. That seems like a pretty small hurdle. If someone can't afford a windows upgrade a free DX download then they're gaming on the wrong platform.
As far as I am concerned, no one owes Nintendo a dime unless they're purely streaming the game and solely the game.
"Fair use is a limitation and exception to the exclusive right granted by copyright law to the author of a creative work. In United States copyright law, fair use is a doctrine that permits limited use of copyrighted material without acquiring permission from the rights holders. Examples of fair use include commentary, search engines, criticism, parody...
Actually, it's a murky gray area that's too expensive to explore.
The videos and lets plays that most Youtubers are posting fit neatly into "fair use" and "journalism". The problem is that no one can afford to challenge Nintendo on this.
About $300 too much for a resin statue.
It's no better than mine. My system is #7298.
F2P?
A Fable game I'll actually try.
Or since you own games from the previous generation you could just use the system as well?
