only a complete and utter fool would waste money on DLC like this. If your not good enough to unlock the extras yourself, you should....
A) practice, practice and practice
B) find a new hobby
It is a great action adventure game but a horrible RPG or JRPG.
the only thing that will epic about this game will be the amount of locked content on the disc, so Scamcom can sell it to you on release day to make more money.
What is this UBI's version of COD now, where we need to release 1 every year? While I really enjoyed AC2, this is just 2 soon after it for a new game for me.
I agree with the DLC especially DLC already on the disc. So far a few dev teams ( Gearbox & R* to name a few ) get what DLC is all about, then their is Capcom and the other like them that just lock content on the disc so they can sell you a key later.
If you could only afford to own 1 console I would say the PS3 offers the most for the price without any extra/hidden fees. If you could afford both I would definitely say that is the way to go.
The only console not needed is the Wii unless you have young children, because while there is a handful of titles for the core gamer most are aimed at very young children or the seniors who need some exercise.
what do you expect someone who is a 100 to say. Video games & gaming, 3D and all new tech is beyond him so it is all a waste as far as he is concerned. Why do people even asked his opinion on games & gaming? He is a movie person, who I always liked the movies he hated and hated the movies he loved.
The only to lazy to learn & scared developer is Valve, which is no biggie to me because if I really want to play their games I have a 360 and a PC.
I would have bought the game if it was on a disc and won't even consider a purchase otherwise. With this decision I would be surprised if this games sells 100 units off the PSN. Just a dumb ass move imho.
This is the 2nd game I didn't buy because of it being a DL only title, The 1st was section 8.
At least anyone who buys this game off the PSN doesn't need to worry about any future DLC already being on the disc.

Reason 1 - the console is to reliable, I like a console that breaks down regularly.
Reason 2 - I like being ripped off by MS on over charging for online play, HDD's and Wifi, please don't give or offer me these things at no extra cost.
Reason 3 - HDMI 1.2v is better then HDMI 1.3v
Reason 4 - I can't pirate games and screw the developers out of their money like I can on my 360

I'll wait to see if they release a BR version in the US, if not Amazon was selling the EU version so I will just get that instead. I really dislike DL only games and will not support that route of distribution now or in the future.
makes no difference to me personally. If it comes it comes and if it doesn't it doesn't.If i really want to play it I could always buy it for my 360.
I have a 52" 120hz Bravia XBR series 4, so bring on the 3D!! I am alot more interested in the 3D then the motion controls.

1st was a launch 20 gig, then when I got the disc read errors I bought a 40gig to hold me over until I figured out how to fix the disc read error on my 20gig, then I bought a MGS4 bundle when Amazon got some stock on them after they were sold out for a few months so I would have a back up PS3 with B/C in it.
and technically I bought 4 because I also bought my Daughter her own for her room.
So I have my 20 gig in my bedroom ( 80 gig MGS PS3 ...
lol, here we go again! another update and all the non PS3 owners claimed they have a bricked system. I updated all 3 of my PS3's this morning without a problem like always.
We can only hope not! GTA IV was the worst in the series to date. Talking about the core game and not the DLC, I have it but haven't played it yet.

While I am really enjoying FF XIII it just isn't what I want or expect when I buy a game with Final Fantasy in the title. But like I said I am enjoying it for what it is and I have about 90 hours in it so far and I am in chapter 11 with 80% of the quests completed.
Why is that? Maybe they are working on a new IP? we don't need a sequel every year or 2 for an existing franchise. I would welcome a new IP or anything else they are working on, maybe more so depending on what it is.
Sequel upon sequel upon sequel is killing gaming to a certain extent imho.
