that is great! It's nice when companies give back to the customers who spend money & support them.
actually I do realize that and picked myself up a PC to game on over X-mas. There is a few survival horror games that are coming that I am very interested in and the consoles have all but done in survival horror games for mass appeal with a more action oriented approach.
But there are certain franchises only available on the PS platform that I really enjoy and can't play anywhere else like GoW, UC, Sly, R & C, KZ and games like Heavy Rain and Beyond that is coming out...
the PC is missing the most important thing to me in this comparison, the 1st party studios & the exclusive games they make that can only be had on the PS platform. The games will always dictate my gaming preference and noone has been unable to unseat the PS brand for varied gaming experiences at least in my opinion.
that is a simple answer Nintendo was made what they were by core gamers. Then they turned their back on the core gamer to target a different demographic / customer. So if they as a company wanted to turn their back on me as a core gamer in favor of someone else so be it just don't expect me to come back to you when you realize you were wrong and are starting to suffer because of your decision.

I would say the News & News type shows like a Current Affair are more to blame than video games ever will. They glorify these people and put their faces everywhere like celebrities so other like minded morons want the same fame these other losers are given and follow suit. Then throw in the book of the week, movie of the week & full blown hollywood movies where these scumbags are portrayed by famous actors and they want the fame/ notoriety the media gives them.

as long as basic feature remain free like basic online play, use of Netflix etc etc I have no problem with it. If they go the MS route and what to charge for basic features I will cancel my subscription to PS+ and just use PS4 for their exclusive games & PC for everything else.
I think after about 10+ years of catering to the casuals most core gamers could careless about WiiU like they did with the Wii.

The appeal of the PS4 is all the studios who make GAMES just for that platform. Build your own PS4 but don't have any of the games to go with it. Sounds like a great idea ya moron.
seeing that the usual casual gamer may buy a console every 20 years or so it looks like the WiiU doesn't have a audience. Core gamers that actually buy new consoles were abandoned by Ninety years ago in favor of the casual. So how is that working out for you now Ninety? I would say most the casuals are still happy with their Wii and see no need for a new console.

I agree, I consider myself a core gamer ( not hardcore that is for pron ) and I have already decided to go the PS4 / PC route next gen and not to get a Xbox at all.
My biggest reason is the variety of genres that Sony supports that the others just never will. Also when was the last new core IP released by MS? I hear crickets chirping for some reason...

My only issue with what was covered was 1st Sony says GaiKai will make it possible for all generations of PS games to be available to play via the cloud on the PS4.
The next day we get, PSN games won't carry over to the new system for whatever reason.
So which is it Sony? Does your Gaikai acquisition make it possible for all generations of PS games to be available or not.
The story was ok, played games with better & worse stories. The art style, music & old school JRPG feel it has is what made it so great to me.
I personally think they will and seeing they know PS4 is going to release at holiday 2013 they will have to be 1st to market so right @ E3 fits. I just hope the console is actually ready this time for whoever buys it. While I don't like to support MS for many reasons I hate to see gamers get a system that is going to breakdown on them quickly even if it;s covered under a warranty. If your system is in the shop your not gaming.

My prediction for MS
MS will announce their next system @ E3 and than state it will be available immediately after the conference. We all know MS doesn't care if they rush a faulty product to market just to be first. Hopefully they won't have a similar issue like the 360 had it when it was rushed out the door.
The only real question I have is will they actually get a new core IP our just continued with the same 4 tired franchises like Halo, Gears, For...

MS doesn't delay anything, they are the complete opposite. They would rush a unfinished broken product to market just to be first. Just look at their track record it speaks for itself.
I still say MS will announce that the Nextbox will be available right away during their E3 conference regardless of its readiness for market. Especially if they officially announce it in April.
