I'm gonna do the same I did with Heavy Rain, not watch any videos, previews, reviews or try any demo if they have one.
I want it all to be fresh & new on my first play through. I feel a game like this has so much more taken away from it the more videos you watch & the more previews/reviews you read. JMO on the matter.
as long as games are playable offline if there is a network issue I don't see a problem. If your unable to play SP games because of network issues on either end yours or MS's or your internet goes down from your ISP then that I see as a problem.
So until we know that real answer this topic is pointless & all speculation.
no says you have to buy or play it if you don't like that type of game play.
Maybe you would be better suited waiting for the new COD with it's fresh coat of paint and same old generic game play
this was a very fun game to play through and I also like Heavenly sword that they developed. I think their spokes person is a complete jackass though and they should find someone else to do the speaking for the studio.
I didn't buy DMC not because of the game or the developer but because I will not buy anything that has the Crapcom name on it. I said to myself I would never buy 1 of their games again after RE5 & their DLC practices and I haven't yet.
had to agree, especially with #'s 1 & 5, as for #3 I could not careless about that stuff.
MS needs to make the basic MP available to everyone & charge for the extras services live has to offer. They also definitely need to do something for securing/creating exclusive new IP's otherwise here is what I would ask myself.
I can the nextbox that has these games & a charge to play them online or I can get a PS4 that will have all the same games ...
look @ where DS & RE are now. Did Co-op do them more harm than good? I would say it did, just look at how the sales got less & less the more they strayed from the original formula.
If any dev has a series they want killed just put in the hands of Acti, EA or Crapcom to publish & they will butcher it so bad noone will want it anymore.
I would also like to thank EA, Acti & Crapcom for saving me a bunch of money by turning certain series/games in...
that is 1 great deal, reminds me of the Orange Box Valve put out, great bunch of games @ a great price. You just can't go wrong if you buy this.
whichever puts the biggest emphasis on the core games gets my Money plain & simple.
just jumped on Far Cry 3, what is 1 more game in my get to eventually pile seeing that it's already 35 games deep that I haven't opened yet
well they didn't express that very well, all I saw was RE5 in space from all the previews / videos prior to launch.
I just want some kickass games and a console/pc to play them on.
I don't really care about all the other stuff so I pay no attention to it. As long as the main focus is the games I'm a happy gamer.
well if EA had left it alone instead or turning into another cover shooter with a forced AI partner I am sure it would have sold better. Heck I would have bought it if they had left the original DS formula alone.
I wonder how many of the 1.1 million are happy satisfied customers?
but the emotions were relayed through story & happenings in game not by facial expressions alone which is what David Cage was talking about.
You can look and the face in the tech demo and now how he/she is feeling just by the different expressions in the face without any story being told or event to get the feeling across to the gamer.
just my though on the matter.
seeing what a great job CD did with the TR reboot hopefully next gen they will get a chance to do the same with the Kain Series.
even though I feel they showed plenty of both exclusive & Multiplat content we all know Sony never is lacking in the exclusive department. There may be a lull while they try to expand their market in other areas but they always come back to the core exclusives.
it's why a site like this which covers all consoles sales #'s shouldn't be run by a fan-boy like the owner of VGchartz. He would be best served to cover Xbox exclusively on a dedicated Xbox site since all he does is spread misinformation about the other consoles.
they don't need to die, some just need to take a break and maybe go 3-4 years before another installment.
They have always under inflated the PS3 & over inflated the 360. All you have to do is look @ the #'s Sony & MS post for their sales #'s to know this.
I agree & I personally would be fine with a 4-5 year break for the franchise. The more often a game in a series is released the more generic & uninnovative it becomes IMO like COD & AC as a few examples.
I am all for more of the same but eventually grow tired if it is continually put under my nose year after year after year.
