The government should look into this for getting guns out of the inner city. Offer them PSPs!
The game is pretty slim....they items you pay for...you really just rent. Even if you pay real money for a virtual piece of clothing it only lasts for 1 month, then you lose it.
The only way to get me onto a Mac would be to show me that you could actually play PC games on a Mac...At the release date and not three years after the game has come out.
I find it funny that Mac news is here, on a gaming website, when Macs are about as far away from games as you can be on a home computing platform.
I remember reading about a preacher who once said, "Bring me one person (an alcoholic, wife beater, child molester, ect...) who changed their life for the better because they became an atheist or an agnostic, and if you can do that I will debate my beliefs with you.".
This really had nothing to do with Valve, besides them catering to the wishes of the publishers who use Steam to distribute their games. DLC for Valve games will, in my opinion, stay free. The company from the article that is charging for DLC....I've never heard of them or played their games, so it's no big deal to me.
You can't make a game this size and have it look as polished as KZ2. Flashpoint is like a documentary...realistic and gritty. KZ2 is like a hollywood blockbuster...it looks really good but every thing is really just a facade.
You should probably think of the $49.00 as an investment. The game will continue to grow with added content. Also all the games I've seen on Steam are reasonably priced, and only on Steam will you get the occasional 10% off. You'll never see that in a retail chain, not on any game. It's also interesting that you think of PC games as overpriced when console games cost more and have only ever increased in price.
Any time you drop the name of another game while not directly relating gameplay elements is complete and total propaganda. A review is supposed to be unbiased, but they've injected their personal opinions right into it. It's great they love Gears 2, but it has nothing to do with Killzone 2.
Sometime all the fun and the challenge is in the realism. Check out some of the early Tom Clancy games and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I was starting to think that my code was bad. Sony should have released the demo as soon as it was Thursday somewhere.
They should put warning labels on politicians.....Warning Keep away from anyone allergic to bull$hit!
Co-op or Single-player, it's the same damn thing, just with bot-players. If you feel like playing the same game or hunting achievements, but without the human stupidity factor, you have the option to play offline.
You don't need to reactivate games on Steam. The games are always on your list for you to download and play.
The only thing I don't like about Steam is that you can't pass or trade your games.
So, If I bought Spore and ran out of installs, I should just go and buy another copy like a good little consumer? Sorry, Don't think so. Also the protection some companies place on games make it impossible for the game to have any second hand value. Once I buy a game, that copy of the game is mine, i;m not renting it. I'll install it on as many PC's as I like and if I choose trade it, possibly for cash, to someone else.
The Kotor games were very story heavey and looked ok, but they never had a good cinematic quality and were not very exciting. I love Star Wars, but Kotor, for me, is kind of boring. I still consider the Dark Forces series to be the best Star Wars games franchise.
I'd like to see a more up to date Star Wars MMO, but I'm almost certain it will fail in the end. Star Wars MMO's don't work for one reason. Every one wants to be a Jedi, but everyone shouldn't be a Jedi.
Piracy is only acceptable in certain situations. Like as a means of protest. People who don't ever pay for games and pirate everything should be arrested.
Valve already had to fight their last 'owners' Sierra/Vivendi in court just to keep the IP rights to the Half Life series. What the hell are they so eager to be acquired for? They are practically a publisher in their own right.
I think Valve gave the Left 4 Dead team enough rope to hang themselves with. This was a bone head move, and it's a complete 180 from what people expect to see from Valve. People expect the highest quality and longevity in Valve games. This stinks of a rush job. The new survivors aren't nearly as thought out as the originals, and there are not enough improvements to the game to warrant a sequel.
It's also a disappointment that Valve has chosen to focus on hyping smaller IP's and ...
