To tell you the truth, I think we might be seeing it soon in the form of an iPhone. The specs of these phones today are already amazing and in a few years, I wouldn't be shock if X360 level graphics and gameplay are achieveable on them. The only thing apple really need to do is somehow sell a version with an actual slide or flip joypad, then we are in business.
@moldybread
"ea removed split screen from need for speed, guerilla games removed it for the latest killzone game. so it's not just isolated to halo."
Bingo!! And did we get 50 articles about how those other games don't have local split screen? Just because it is Halo, it brings out the best in all of us, the Halo lovers and the haters.
It is no different than if Lebrom James do something that is not out of the ordinary and has been d...
One HUGE differnence that you are forgetting pertaining to BC of PS2 era games and PS3 games are:
The reason why BC is more important this gen than last gen is because many games from the x360/ps3 era are digital in nature, with achievement/trophies, DLCs, gamerscores, that are tied to your account, and the games were 720p HD ready that still looks great on today's TV. The PS2/xbox era games have none of that; in turn, that is why it wasn't as big a deal back in the P...
There is no such thing as not wanting more option. PS have shareplay (share with friends over the net and let them try out a game for a set period for free) that the xbox One don't have.
while on XB1 there is snap (in which I can multitask with playing games and Skype at the same time), external HDD (to add infinite storage space), and local BC (to keep playing your X360 investments on a new platform) that the PS4 just don't have. You get some and you lose some.
@Rimeskeem,
I did watch the video and is is still not telling us much. It is cool though, maybe you are mistaken my wording of what I actually Meant but I did say I am open minded and will keep an eye on it and will get it on PC on release day if it has great reviews. I love games but I always do my research before blindly buying them .
This piece was written by arstechnica and not just any avg joe made up site, why wouldn't they understand the purpose of a pay game streaming service when they had covered Onlive with the same technology for years? They are smarter and know more about technology than most of the population and is a respected source for technical analysis of technology.
If anyone that is looking for a totally unbias review with a video showing exactly what I am talking about, go view the ever popular Angry Joe 4/10 review of the Orders and you will see all the points I had just pointed out and more. Most of the Comments on that page have people that also testified about their experiences with the game.

I get that exploring the universe is something that could be fun but then show me something that represents that. Every demo we see is the same old exploration show with no context to what that does for you in the game.
Hopefully modding on PC will be big. I could imagine people building star wars and Marvel universe galaxy that we can explore. Still have my doubt though until I see more substance to the gameplay but pretty much am still excited for the PC release of this game a...
Go read some reviews. Short, repetitive, too much cut scenes, black borders get in the way of your cover mechanic, gameplay that the CPU keep holding your hand, recycled boss battle are some of the things that had gone wrong with the game. Rented it and beat it on about 7 hours. But those visuals, WOW..the best on this generation so far with only Ryse come anywhere close to it.
Of course not. But Since Phil is a gamer himself and does also own a PS4, He would proably say something like
"Even though it is a great honor and I am humble that we are leading the console race this generation thanks to our fans, we wouldn't be here if Sony didn't continue to push us into making great things on XB1 that keep us ahead of the pack like Backward Compatibility and Windows 10 unification. But even though we are winning in terms of console sales, I d...
No, and And I don't think anyone cares other than a group of console warriors as both consoles will sell great and that is all that matters. A greaf flow of updates features, games, and constantly listening to the fan base that the platform people chooses is all that matter. Both will be successful and PS4 being more successful due to being more popular world wide. Nothing is wrong with that. There can be more than one winner as this is not sports, it is entertainment.

???? You been replying with some strange answers lately. Keep misquoting me and failed to acknowledge what I am trying to tell you. LoL
First I had warned you twice that No Man's Sky PC has the same release date as the PS4 version and you still posted twice since and still claiming that the PS4 version will have it relase first. :/
Secondly, why are you trying so hard to hoodwinked the general public into believing I never own a PS console before with thi...
I am going to stack up some cheap digital X360 games for the upcoming BC update this Fall.
Christ,
The fact that you had mentioned about the availability of X360 games in the marketplace lead me to believe most of the third party games from Burnout, Skyrim, Red Dead, and COD will be there. These company knows there are more hardware available now to sell their back catalog of games and that people will buy them and basically cost them nothing but a simple "yes" to make it BC. There is really no downside to making games BC on the XB1 from a business stand...
I think a VR headset with its own CPU and hardware inside the headset is the only way for VR to adopt mass appeal. Selling a $300 headset with a system that already costing $350-$400 is too much to ask and many developers will not attempt to develop for it due to cost and profit margin. I really don't see VR take off until another 8-10 years when the technology is cheaper and better refine tbh. Even Sony know it that is why they spent less than 3 min at E3 talking about it.
Not in the current alpha preview of the 21 games to preview members, but will be among the first wave of BC titles when the full BC goes live this fall. One of the engineer developer for the BC emulator already confirmed with the Major Nelson interview that all MS published titles will be among the first wave of BC titles with the exception of Kinect titles.
Also, during the E3 BC announcement, someone with a keen eye spotted covers of some of the games that are advertised o...
Supposedly, a briefing is also on the list for Sony at the Paris event. Here hoping GT7 and maybe a new Santa Monica game will be announced. Either way, looking forward to it.
an error stating it has a 2-12 players mp? WTH?! Is it me or Sony seems to abandoned MP on their releases this year? The next 3 major releases, Until Dawn, GOW3 HD, Uncharted HD all don't have MP and the Orders 1886 also don't have it. isn't the main point of paying $50 a year for PSN plus is to play mp?
It would be nice incentive to subscribers to have a few more mp mode in first party game from Sony..that is all I am saying. 2016 looks good though as Uncharted 4...
It might be but it is not my cup of tea. :)
Yea, the emulated touch pad is really a pain to use. I tried to play a few old SNES games on my phone with the virtual joypad and it sucks BIG time. Sony did it right by making the Xperia Play with a slide out joypad and if Apple would do a version of their future iPhones with the same controller scheme, then that may attract some huge console game publishers of making games for it.
Touch screen would never work for serious gaming.
