Probably but in 10-15 years
I believe that the hardware focus in playstation shifted from handhelds to the PSVR
Good game a little rough around the edges, nonetheless it is a solid entry
At the time they stopped making games I remember there was an assessment of the company deciding on relocating their resources. For example they would rather spend $150 million on a film that could generate them $800 million or more than on a video game that even at its best would be able to reach $300-350 million.
@Orchard
"- Even if COD were to leave PS, it would not kill PS or really affect console sales that much. People are buying a PS over Xbox for Sony exclusives, not for COD."
That is true in my opinion almost nobody would skip the PS brand because of COD. However I believe the way executives are viewing the situation is that an annual franchise that sell about 10 million units on their console and I am going to round my estimate makes them around $20 per purchase thu...
This is the article with the most spam I have seen here in a while.
Sony Interactive Entertainment is online only maybe the don't have much to show at this time and I was hoping for a hands on reveal of the PSVR2
Lots of FLOPS 10.3 trillion of them ;)
I am interested in the game but can't help but wonder how is it the 2D art looks significantly better than the 3D models
I understand their concern even if a regulator compels Microsoft to port the game to other platforms they can still have it day one on Gamepass and costing £60 everywhere else.
Maybe with a flexible screen design could be interesting
I would have to agree with Cockney. Although Nintendo stopped having conferences they did keep their presence at the event with a booth and live streams in Sonys case they dropped the show all together along with their presence on the floor.
I believe it is way more than this due to the uniqueness of the transaction in my opinion can spark a new segment of the market for all media films, music, books and so on sold by the users themselves. Also the creator can receive a percentage with any further resale, imagine someone buying the new Assassins Creed game digitally for £60 and after beating it being able to resale it for £40 but the publisher in this case Ubisoft is able to take 10% from any further resale so in this c...
Nice they might as well buy Playstation next :D
What an article:
I wouldn't call the UI a disappointment as none of the features mentioned could be considered essential, moreover I believe that the software engineers are smart people while deciding the OS have considered that possibility and dropped it for a good reason.
The Dualshock and Dualsense part new consoles come with new controller it is included in the box as well, maybe they are trying to avoid scenarios of poor compatibility between the two gener...

Well it's not 2031 yet ;)
They did buy Nixxes Software a studio that specializes in porting games, I would assume more PC ports are coming and if successful may they would cut the middle man (Steam, EGS), however that would be years ahead.
This looks like the first step for them to start outsourcing their franchises
Well I will wait and see how AMD 7900XT/XTX are compared to the nVidia cards and if they are better value apart of Ray Tracing a team red machine might be worth it for the next generation or two.
