NONE of these problems reported are related to the update at all.
These are regular problems that can happen to people at any time. It just happened to coincide with the update for those four people.

Wasn't a "real" MGS.
It was merely a conclusion and solution to MGS... although a darn good one that deserved 9-10s.
If Kojima had it his way, it would be so much more meaningful and innovative and leave you wanting more, wanting answers, being confused, etc. But he couldn't have it his way. He wanted to move on from MGS. He had to end Snake's story. He had to tie all the loose knots.

You're only siding with HD-DVD because Microsoft "backed" it with their 360 add-on. And because Sony owns BluRay.
But ignorant as you are, you wouldn't know that Sony is not the sole creator/owner of BluRay and its disc players. Sony worked with many other companies to create BluRay.
Not only that, any hardware manufacturer can make their own BluRay disc player, and Sony would have no control over how they price it.

Sony should just license "Giant Enemy Crab" and make an exclusive game out of this!!
Sony purposely said they'll discontinue Backwards Compatibility for all future PS3's to make sure people will buy PS2s.
But logically, at SOME point, they have to put BC back in PS3s. They could make profit off of it through selling PS2 games on the PS Store, etc.
Most of the developers left Square for a reason. Its because Square doesn't care about quality games. Square only wants to milk its more mainstream franchise.
In fact, those ex-Square developers should just join up with Sony's RPG studios and make new Legend of Dragoon, Xenogears, and Chrono games.
Well I believe if they change the color palette for Killzone 2, it would look just like the CGI trailer.
Hopefully other stages in the game have different colored palettes. Its a different planet, they should let their imagination run wild and come up with weird environments/weather.

Because Radiosity still beats Raytracing.
Radiosity is already possible on the PS3. Guerilla Games will try to implement it in their next game.
Snake is obviously in the game. You just can't see him... especially with that Octocamo.
Nothing in the quotes said that the PS3 American and Europe version will get delayed till they finish the 360's version.
