Splinter Cell: Conviction, Alan Wake, Mass effect 2, Crackdown 2 for first half 2010. Second half 2010 includes Fable 3 and Halo:Reach.
All six of those games are day one purchases for me.
Multi-platform titles include: Final Fantasy XIII and Bayonetta (the best console version of the game), Bioshock 2 and a quite a lot of other good games in 2010.
Now lets just hold our breath for a long overdue PS3 price cut and FF XIV should appear after both FFXIII and FF Versus XIII in 2011.
Lol @ the outages.
360 owners bought a dilapidated piece of garbage with boring games and expensive online. PS3 has the best games and it has free online.
Buy a PS3 now. Get rid of the 360.
Due to time restrictions and it is easy to port games from 360 to PS3. If developers fully utilised the 25Gb of a single layer PS3 Blu-Ray disc. Dual layered Blu-Ray disc is 50Gb. 25 GB per layer of Blu-Ray disc.
The PS3 exclusives may look better in graphics than the 360 exclusives and the PS3 games store more data on a disc than 360 games. The sales of the big PS3 exclusive games have no way been as significant as the big 360 exclusive games. Multi-platform games sell in line...
They are too small of a company and they would not have the time to make a scaled down gimped version of the game which would look shoddy in comparison to X360/PS3/PC versions of the games. Large companies such as Capcom, EA, Ubisoft, etc can eaily make gimped rail shooters of HD multiplat blockbuster games for the Wii.
First day buy for me. This game along with Alan Wake and Halo 3:ODST could be the best games on XBox 360 in 2009. The PS3 and PC have good games too to come out in 2009 as exclusives.
Ubisoft have released some good games this generation with Assassins Creed, RSV 1 & 2, GRAW 1 & 2, Splinter Cell Double Agent. All of which were great games and Assassins Creed 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction will appear in second half of 2009.
Keep the good games coming to XBox 360/PS3 and...
Most companies count shipped as sold. So the number sold could be around 4.75 million copies sold worldwide. Close enough to 5 million.
Only 2.5 years into PS3s 10 year lifespan. 7.5 years are left plenty of time remains for PS3 to turn things around.
In future keep all your games.
Two completely different views of the console system wars. One a PS3 fan boy and the other an XBox 360 fanboy.
Lol. These fantasy stories are so full of win. lol. Oh the PS3 is winning by a few million sales by using same point in time. If we aligned the sales from their launches and compare 2009 PS3 sales with 2008 sales of X360. lol.
Such a shame that two and a half years on, every PS3 sold generates a bigger loss for Sony in its gaming division.
Killzone 2 is a graphical upgraded version of Call of Duty 4. KZ2 tries to copy ideas from many shooter games and well it is a good game but does not stand out from the competition.
PS2 is not even competing with X360 it is a last generation console and it is dying and there are no new blockbuster games coming out for PS2.
Lol and you people took this article seriously? Lol.
Crap article makes absolutely no sense.
It could help sell more copies of Gears of War 2 and help it outsell Gears of War ltd sales.
going by the reviews on metacritic it was mediocre around 65% in reviews. This second piece has bugs in it that need to be fixed and this could adversely impact upon its sales and reviews. The damage has already been done.
Anyway I care little for paid DLC. It is just a way game developers can get extra money from gamers who have already paid $60 for the full game.
Free DLC is good though, bring on some free Multi-player maps and keep the game sales trickling and supporting games already on the market.
Anyway PS3/Sony fans will be dancing for joy about this small insignificant bad news for X360. A loss for MS is a win for Sony. Vice versa in the eyes of a MS fan.
Alot of Single player only games are well worth playing: Mass Effect, Bioshock, Ninja Gaiden series and God ofn War series, etc.
The online multi-player is good but I prefer the 4 player online multiplayer death match Goldeneye more than any of these new games that only have deathmatches/mutli-player online.
But MGS 4 feels and looks so much like an interactive movie with its long drawn out cut scenes. PS3 has a tradition of churning out games that feel more like an interactive movie than a game: Heavy Rain and Final Fantasy XIII(also on the 360).
Besides MGS 4, Gears of War, Gears of War 2 and Halo 3. The only games that have sold over 5 million were the multi-platform games: COD 4, 5 and 6 and GTA IV. All up 8 games have sold 5 million on the HD consoles. 360 has 7 * 5 million s...
