No, please ditch the loot system and go back to what the first game bad.
People have pretty much said what needs to be said, but yes. Developers are making larger worlds, but what's in it is sorely lacking.
Witcher 3 and MGS5 both suffered from open world sickness, because the game wasn't nearly as focused like previous entries. it was all about making a world larger than something before it, and in this case the former was specifically targeting Skyrim.
Well, they got their mainstream status (CDPR) but they also lost fans...
Meh, i'd rather have them revive a Starcraft: Ghost game using her abilities as a Ghost. The technology is available for it now.
Indeed, this is pretty much what it boils down to. It's a lost opportunity to allow players to be another race. I'm not surprised they're taking the easy way out, though. It's cutting corners at its finest.
This is the CGI i expect coming from Activision Blizzard.
They should've released the first one instead.
Nova Covert Ops is not an expansion, but bite sized DLC packs.
I very much doubt Blizzard will attempt another MMO again, and instead focus on smaller games like HotS and Overwatch. Another thing to point out, is that it's 17 years ago since Blizzard released something new (Overwatch) not relying on their other games.
One thing is certain, though, and that's WoW being on the way out without a doubt.
The game itself is spicy for a standard edition. Maybe $40 would be a better deal, but i don't think it offers people enough for the current price.
I'm not even surprised, considering Valve has been about making profts in more ways, instead of creating new games due to Steam.
This is just a stealthed introduction of paid mods.
Why focus on making the graphics better, when the modders will do it for you post-release? Sure, they may lose a few points on graphics, but they don't really care when you see the sales for it.
Bethesda is just taking advantage of the modding community. They simply create the base game, while the players take it to where it should've been.
Don't expect too much from the movie. At most it'll probably be PG16, but i doubt it'll be 18+ like this is supposed to be when you read the content in the books.
I honestly don't know why, but people seem afraid of showing really, really out there movies these days.
In-game currency or not, which option do you think the developer heavily favors? Yes, the answer should come up clear as day.
Honestly, both cosmetic and pay to win-esque transactions are bad. Instead of making it available to everyone, F2P and now ''AAA'' games balance heavily in favor of the paid option.
I especially hate Gambling options like in Mass Effect 3.
''Bu..but you can unlock them through gameplay'' is not cutting it. That kind of system is heavily in favor of the customer that keeps paying, instead of actually playing the game.
And angry Kratos's story was better as well? Please, the stories are hardly super amazing, but don't put one above the other.
Darksiders 1 was a more focused game, and it had just enough puzzles to not make it unbearable. You had a signature weapon and some side weapons, plus extras that added bonuses depending on the situation. Skill-wise the weapons had enough variety for the first game.
Darksiders 2 added a bloated item system, which only served to inconvenience the player instead of serving as a improvement. Darksiders 1's itemization left it up to your own skill for progression, but Darksid...
Darksiders 1? Yes. Darksiders 2? Not so much.
Come to think of it, i think they're a perfect fit for eachother. They're equally less innovative and relying on ideas that other companies thought of.
They already mentioned their DLC plans shortly after revealing the game, which is just another reason i'm not laying down money for it at launch. I'm just not falling for their practices.
Well, they said that they're not sure where to go after LotV, but developing Starcraft: Ghost would be a sure bet i think. It also gives them something else to work on, instead of just developing RTS games.
