The game may not be cancelled, but it doesn't exist either. Microsoft didn't see any profit in the IP, so i doubt they would fund another.
Personally it was one of the best JRPG's i've played.
I don't think reboot means what you think it means...
Something tells me this is a bad idea, but i don't want to say it's a ticking bomb yet.
Hmm, it makes you wonder what they have in store for us, when VGX goes live.
I better prepare for it.
Crash would be likely to bring some life back to platforming. As long as it doesn't follow examples of Knack, and go back to the roots of Crash games.
Most ''MMO's are instanced worlds these days, and typically more action oriented. I prefer a wide open world with limited instancing, and truly persistent design.
The genre is so muddy right now though, which is thanks to the developers.
This easily ranks up there with some of the most stupid achievements. Like the Simpsons one for pressing start.
What fan base? The one they constantly kick out of their way?
Maybe a slightly large demographic on PC wants the game as well. That way you won't be met with restrictions either. ;)
That's what you have to think about, before you become a reviewer. It's inevitable that you'll get tired of it, so you either quit or keep on going.
Like it has been said before, reviewing games in a more or less professional manner, means that you have to provide Pros and Cons for the consumer.
That's not how it works today, so instead we have political opinions and free passes for popular franchises.
The reviewer can have fun with a game, sure, but it shouldn't be the main aspect of any review. That's up to the player him/herself.
Reviewers should be looking at every piece of content, sum up the good or bad things which relates to story, gameplay mechanics and maybe game breaking bugs.
If the main aspect is fun, then we'll never get proper reviews.
Edit - In this case, you could even mention how barebones the new Forza game i...
I actually agree. This is nothing different to what Nintendo is doing.
Expect a lot of re-releases in the future, and people will let the companies get away with it.
That percentage could go either way. Maybe they're waiting for the beta testing to be done and new games, or they've switched to PC gaming.
Personally, i would be in the none category as well.
Reviews are tied into a lot of problems, but they've been beaten to death already without results. We see more political agendas, and other personal feelings in them as well. Maybe you can't avoid feelings about a game entirely, but you can at least look at it professionally still.
What's wrong with either the story or gameplay? Is there something that can potentially break the game for a player? Information like that is what's sorely missed, i believe.
Coming this late in the generation, i don't think they'll inspire anything significant. The next generation is a clean slate, so new inspirations will be given the chance.
I think the install base will shrink, actually. It's too early to tell, but i doubt it'll reach PS3 / 360 numbers.
The way both consoles are set up now, i'm pretty sure it won't take long for them to crack it.
If you're thinking about buying this game, i'd probably advise you to be careful. The game shifted platforms a few times, and it was in development hell as well.
I understand people have systems in place, and tight spots for their consoles etc. It's just not a very good decision, because it just increases the heat.
I've always put my devices in a more open space.
Definitely Starcraft: Ghost for me.
