Shinji Mikami is indeed the one responsible for bringing Action into Horror. He's trying to redeem that with The Evil Within.
I didn't like RE4 either, compared to the previous games. It's a good Action game, but that's it.
As long as we don't count tablet or phone games, then sure. Then there's those people just pretending to be gamers.
It wasn't part of the Solid saga, but i'm sure i heard it was considered cannon.
Not to mention the marketing nightmare, which they have to endure by telling customers about this new thing.

It's probably related to a certain someone, which is connected to the project. Plus the platform it was intended for.
Obviously it would've taken a while to code for the PS3, so they chose not to. Instead, they take their time with Witcher 3. That makes sense for a PC developer.
The chance of it returning to what ME1 was is slim, so i wouldn't keep up hope. It could've been something else, but the potential was in the wrong hands.
Not exactly the brightest light for Stealth gaming either.
Hopefully some modders will look into this on PC, so we can have both framerate and more pretty visuals. :)
Yeah, i have no sympathy either for this or the dev. This is what happens when you outsource games, especially to studios like Ninja Theory, which always finds something else to blame than themselves.
Terrible DMC game and an average Hack & Slash. The excuses people defend this with, is typically from someone who never understood DMC.
Dave Cox even said, that there would be controversial things in the game. I hope they don't censor this at all.
Maybe there's a chance we'll see something at GDC or Pax East? Some gameplay would probably open people's eyes.
Yeah, i think Rockstar deserved this one. They lead up to this themselves, by limiting people's funds through shady updates.
I'm probably not the only one, but i can't even remember the trailer for this.
The closest bet would be Wildstar, but even that game can't possibly have enough content to satisfy people.

There are many factors which killed the mentioned games, but i agree with you. Most of the MMO's made in the past, either tried to hide it, or openly admitted to wanting to dethrone WoW.
Well, SWTOR lost its subscription in less than 8 months, so we'll see how long ESO lasts. :P
That wasn't surprising either, since Bioware didn't listen to feedback.
Blizzard released WoW with brilliant timing, and they've taken care of it like a kid growing up. Sure, they had a few parenting issues (terrible patches), but it was great.
Plus, they had the whole RTS / Hack & Slash fan base to back them up.
I'm pretty sure they knew, that X-2 wouldn't have sold as stand-alone. It was also one of the previous games, which lead to the XIII generation.
FFX though, that was a great game.
