Would love to see a few GameCube titles, and there's a crap load of N64 titles that haven't even been on the Wii VC. It's time, Nintendo, it's time.
I will agree that Nintendo shouldn't be drip feeding us games that we can already buy on the Wii's VC. They should have had all those games available on day 1. I don't see anything wrong with releasing "new" VC titles on a weekly basis, though.
Also, I've seen the PSN library and it isn't that amazing. I will agree that its current state is better than the Wii U.
I heard that, too, and hopefully Nintendo does do something because it would add a lot more value to our digital purchases.
Agree, would be nice to have that option. Also would be a good idea to let fans play their VC games on both the 3DS and Wii U (without having to buy the game twice) with a unified account, but that's another issue altogether.
Actually, this wasn't meant to be misinformation. The press release didn't list the Final Fight games as new to the Wii U Virtual Console. However, I just finished surfing the eShop and realized the mistake. I'll be fixing it now.
Not exactly the most exciting Nintendo Download update.
I 100%, no, 200% agree with your concerns. The Virtual Console service isn't fan friendly, and quite frankly, it's getting old to see the same games being released over, and over again.
I would have bought it on Wii U. I support all the Mature games that make it to Nintendo consoles, even if there's only one or two every blue moon. Though, looks like I'm one of very few that do so.
I have fond, yet frustrating, memories of Zelda II from way back. I used to rent the game more because I preferred the sidescrolling style. However, I absolutely stunk the place up everytime I played. I still think Nintendo should either revisit this style for a future Zelda game, or remake Zelda II for the eShop.
I played BOF2 back in the 90s, but I don't remember it being so gorgeous. Definitely want to check out that game again.
I have Giana Sisters on Steam, but wouldn't mind trying Recca and BoF II.
It's certainly moving in that direction. Can't wait to see what 2014 has in store!
Nintendo really needs to start releasing actual 3DS Nintendo eShop games. That would make the Club Nintendo rewards more attractive for a ton of people.
lol Yea, letting 500 coins vanish would just plain suck.
KillerPwn is right, you'll get your platinum reward in December.
It's a secret to everybody!
1) I agree, would look pretty sweet with the L logo on back, as well.
2) A sleep mode button is mentioned in the press release, nobody seems to have mentioned it though, including myself.
3) See 2
4) I only played MGS and Resident Evil and completed both without the slide pad. The controls were passable in MGS, but Resident Evil felt just fine to me.
You got that right. Half-a**ed games deserve half-a**ed sales.
If you think Conviction was a shoot-fest, you were playing wrong.
I'm still not a big fan of its design, but I do agree. A cheaper option that can play all the same games is a brilliant idea. Parents will flock to this during the holidays because they can get Pokemon and the handheld to play it on for less than $200.
