Zelda II really is great, and deserves recognition. There are so many great games that this list really doesn't say a whole lot. Everything after the Four Swords and Spirit Tracks is awesome.
I tend to always play on the default difficulty, which happens to be the normal mode most of the time.
Well said. Awesome Game Boy title, it's about time it came to the VC.
Pretty excited to check out this game, looks great.
REmake is incredible! Love that game
Awesome game, scared the shit out of me as a kid. Still creepy now, especially those weird bosses.
Thank you for the comments everyone!
I realize it's an odd list, but these are my favourite zones. There are tons of Zones that could easily be swapped in, or out, but this was what I came up with immediately after playing through each game back to back.
Cheers!
I also like the bonus zones, they were creative for the time and quite fun!
I do like the older games better, but this list was meant to explore the classic 2D games only; it's briefly mentioned in the opening paragraph.
I've played many of the newer games and could make an entire list based on them.
I still haven't played this game. The action stages look awesome, but I don't think I'd be fond of the simulation sections.
Agreed, would make a nice addition on the second list!
Agreed, made the game a lot more tense, and definitely put an emphasis on survival.
You know, when I was going through this list I almost got rid of the F-Aid Spray in favour of the herbs. You're on to something here...
Bit last minute, but I'm up for some news.
Loved the soundtrack for this game as well. I have a lot of favourites and could easily name this the best soundtrack on the Genesis. but maybe not of all time.
I really don't care what Pachter says to be honest. Nothing he says will ever influence me in the slightest.
Definitely a lot of great choices on the list. I really like that the shotgun from Blackthorne is on the list.
Considering that WWE 13 is supposed to have an Attitude Era theme, Steve Blackman being in is definitely possible.
There's a girl at my local EB Games that knows here shit as well. It's a nice change of pace.
It really comes down to opinion I guess. I enjoyed Phantom Hourglass a lot more than Spirit Tracks.
Hope you enjoy the game!
