Yes Gears looks very nice and its quite a good trick they do to make it look good.
1) Put hi-res detail in foreground characters & objects
2) Then exaggerate the depth of field effect to make things look
almost 3d.
3) Low res hardly any detail in objects etc that appear mid to long
distance.
The thing is it uses unreal engine so any game could be made to look like that on PS3 OR PC as well!!!.

exactly how would you measure that.The SPE'S will be used for others things in games like improved AI an physics. Uncharted 720p at 30 fps
1080p at 60 fps roughly 4 times more pixels being pushed so you may see a lot more games at 1080p 60fps but with better physics etc.

Like most critics the bulk of reviewers who write for magazines,tv & internet etc have NO talent or real skills have a look at them, most of then they could not hold down a REAL job.
Most of them are morons you just have to listen to the cr*p they say.
It's a easy job to put someones hard work and efforts down but like I say how many of them would have the ability do that type of work themselves probably NONE.
If some of you actually opened your eyes it says at top of screen in video WORK IN PROGRESS!!!!!!!!ie not the finished product wait till it is before you compare against other games.

RFOM was a great first game for the PS3 then we got R+C now we will get RESISTANCE 2 each an improvement on the previous game in how they push the PS3 wait till 2009 when no doubt they will launch their next game to push it even further. So why don't you go play a game or at least go watch those 3 red lights lol.

What did learn the reviewers could not count to 40! lol looks good
but is it to similar to the last game and as it runs on the Unreal engine how many PS3,PC & 360 GAMES are going to be like this in the next year or so as all the systems can run the engine!!!!!!!!!!!!

xenos gpu in 360 may have a slight advantage over
RSX in PS3 but when the XTRA gflops are used in

This is actually about the titles available during the first YEAR of the PS3 not 2008 OH THICK ONE.
Everyone cast their minds back to the first year of the 360 when all
the 360 fans were posting about the quality of 360 games being like xbox one ports you can still see these posts on the net.
Every game console has had problems like this from launch when only a limited number of first year titles are worth buying.

Typical race game demo will have 1-3 cars max 1-3 tracks max no online etc. So with 71 cars,6 tracks each with 2 layouts online play & GTTV only a moron can call this a demo!Also with the updates that have already been mentioned that GT5P will get for private races & DAMAGE its not a demo! Paid £17.99($36) worth every penny!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes sonarus pop in adds to the 360 experience dont think you would have put it that way had it been the PS3 it would probably have been ha the PS3 cant handle the deltail your a TOTAL A H!!!!!!!

Its down to talent plain and simple when a game has a lazy port from
360 to PS3 you get problems its has to be programed to work with the Cell not AGAINST it.
Many early ports dont use the spe(spu) of the cell if you look at quotes for say Motorstorm or RFOM they are using a FRACTION on whats avaiable even KZ2 wont be pushing the PS3 to its limits yet.
Re games like Madden devs have said PS3 will run at 60FPS same as 360
NOW THEY have got to grips with it.
