I dont think its not really a bad idea, its like Sony having the eye toy and all of these other interactive gadgets you can get, so long as devs dont start to cater for it more than the normal control pad then i dont really see a problem

Agreed, but we live in a world where controversy sells and been "bad" is cool, all of the media and general population will really go to town on this but i bet you it sells like hotcakes, thats the world we live in im afraid

Last months VG chart figures showed exactly the same trend, then out came the NPD numbers which told us a completly different story, take these numbers with a pinch of salt one thinks.
And for those who keep on saying the xbox 360 is dead, how on earth do you come up with that, even if these numbers are true, its not like we are reading ps3 120,000 - xbox 360 2000 (apart from japan :))
Yeah it sucks getting old, i still love playing games, more now than i did when i was younger but i find that sometimes when i play games i just dont get as submerged into them as i used to as everything is getting a bit too predictable, like you say though the next few years might show us something "new"

Im 30 years old, my first gaming machine was the Atari 65xe (excluding the old pong games machine), i have owned every computer and console since then (apart from a ps3 which i will get in due course) so i know what i am talking about, when i said socom on ps1 i didnt mean the actual game but the genre.
I dont think people are getting what i am saying, i am not saying these games will be good or rubbish, i am not comparing who has the stellar exclusive line up, i am just trying to point out that the games havent really revolutionalised since ps1, for example when the likes of resident evil, tomb raider, mgs first came out, the ideas were new, fresh and innovative, you never saw the likes on the previous consoles, but in this generation there hasnt been that step up, the games are more or les...
So far on either the xbox 360 or ps3 the only game i would describe as "revolutionary" is Mass effect, everything else has the "been there, done that" stigma, lets have a look at this years exclusives on both consoles.
PS3 - Socom, played it on ps1 and ps2
PS3 - MGS4, played it on ps1 and ps2
PS3 - LBP here is something new and interesting
PS3 - Resistance 2, FPS which have been out since the likes of DOOM
PS3 - Motorstorm 2, rac...
Thats what sequels are about, sticking to the winning formula and tweaking it here and there, look at burnout, MGS, fifa, madden, Final Fanrasy, tekken, splinter cell, D.O.A etc etc, if the first one was good the chances are the second one will, its only when the numbers start to get higher when the whole formula needs changing
In my personal opinion, there has only been one "game" ever made that deserves a perfect score and that was super mario all stars on the snes, a timeless classic. Every other game has had a flaw somewhere
I dont know about you guys but i never look at the achievement list until after i have completed the games once, everytime i do it turns me into an achievement whore and i try and complete the game with the achievements in mind so i'm not playing it like i naturally would which in a way spoils the game for me a little
i dont understand why people think certain sites are biast, unless the site is an official one surly they have no interest in picking one console over the other, as for this im sure it was just an error, like when sony tried to promote the ps3 using PGR

This is my personal opinion but i dont agree, i feel more excited about the xbox 360 line up, NG2, FABLE 2, Too human, gears 2, left 4 dead, banjo 3. All of these are newish IP's so i get a less sense of been there done that, where as all of the ps3 exclusives have been on the ps1 and ps2 so its a case of more of the same (of a winning formula might i add), but in High Def. This is MY opinion and i am not expecting everyone to agree as people have different tastes.
I hope they do make a Halo 4 and put more emphasis on the single player mode, halo 3 was all about multiplayer really, the actual game was good but not the leap it sould have been
