I don't believe that for a second. If they lost their jobs because of the pandemic wouldn't this be from Q2 2020, Q3 2020, Q4 2020, or Q1 2021? No, Playstations are selling at a record pace, Switches are selling at a record pace, and so are Xboxes. There are so many different services out there, that I think people were not compelled to get PS+.

So GTA5 and RDR2 are not frontline titles? No, they are saying upon first release it doesn't make sense. Once the sales start drying up it makes sense to have people use gamepass so they can make money from Microsoft and Microtransactions. GTA5 was removed from Gamepass so players will pay for GTA5 re-release on Xbox Series.

There's a big open market for everything. No Mobile game is selling 150 million units like GTA. It is on Xcloud, but that's imo best played on a big screen.

Well, I would assume the biggest games of 2021 in terms of sales would be Call of Duty 2020, Call of Duty 2021, Halo Infinite, Forza, a Nintendo game, Far Cry 6, Grand Theft Auto 5, Diablo 2, and Battlefield.
Call of Duty 2020 - From Jan to Dec, there's lots of time to sell
Call of Duty 2021 - Generally CoD or Rockstar have the best selling game each year

That's 5 million sales for GTA5 in 2.5 months. That's 2 million sales for RDR2 sales in 8 months. There are game companies that would kill to have 2 million sales within 8 months of release, let alone 3 years later.
GTA5 will be the best selling game this year if it releases for SeriesX and PS5. Without those releases, it will fall within the top 3 best selling games. Insane.

You can't say Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo is justified for doing it because they lose money on hardware (which isn't always the case, PS4, Switch now post revenues because of economies of scale). As the company is on shakey ground from reports how employees are treated, pay, quality of titles, and other allegations... this doesn't represent the company, but a disgusting employee that could have been at any company. The Playstation brand has always been about quality and variety of games. Xbox has always been about FPS and forward thinking technology (they are mainly a PC company). Nintendo just creates their brand of games with their unique consoles.
Playstation will continue winning because they have grown some of the best studios to make some of the best games. The hardware is fantastic as well

It's dependant, if I opperated a business, I wouldn't want a union. Vice-Versa if I am the employee. It's great knowing that you really cannot be fired with a huge causation.
I've heard stories of a guy clocking in, leaving work, and coming back to clock out. They could not fire him because the union defended the employee. Not sure on the whole picture, definitely more involved, but still depends on the situation.
Too me, it's like the Fast and Furious franchise. They started leveled and believable, now we have superpowers, driving tanks, etc. It was a good game, but I like the more realistic of the first several installments
