Really? So a guy who actually made a game. Was early on with the system feedback. Has run multiple test to figure out how to get the most out of the system and says it's Uncompressed. But because Digital Foundry who hasn't made a game, runs a few test, all of a sudden that is Gospel? I think I'll take the word of the people actually making games on the system.

I really think Nintendo will keep selling a crap load of devices. If the Switch pro is real and adds more power with a better battery life, sprinkled with a new Metroid, Breath of the Wild 2 game then the sales will be even better.

I never said just Xbox, both will get better. They haven't even come close to tapping into the potential of each console. But that's why I said what I said, because those that want to drive the narrative that the Series X is somehow not going to live up to billing. Honestly, at the end of the day both are going to have phenomenal games and we the gamers will reap the rewards.
I disagree. The PS3 spent most of its life behind on all third party games. But still came from behind to beat the xbox numbers towards the end of the cycle. Next Christmas, when both have their big games launching and third parties have had time with both of them. Then if Xbox is still in the same position, I would agree with your assessment. But as the old saying goes...Never say never.

Lol, this isn't some kind of control thing. But to base the value of a console on the first set of games is a waste of time. Every gen starts out this way and the cross generational games have never been a barometer of how things will play out. Tools of both consoles are maturing and Sony was smart enough to get those tools out way before Xbox did. I expect as developers start to take advantage of the Xbox you'll see parity with PS5 or exceeding it. Look, I think the PS5 is brilliant...
A cross gen title that doesn't even use all the powerful features of the Series X. Sony Development software has been out since mid 2019, MS software didn't come out till July-August of 2020. Expect this narrative to change down the road.

Not surprising, considering the install base of the ps4. That said, I expect interest between the two to swap more frequently this gen compared to last gen.
So your saying that Xbox isn't going to have AAA Titles that competes with Sony? That somehow with all the investments they've made in the last couple of years is going to lead to Gamepass shovelwear? Your entitled to your opinion, but I think we are going to see some really special AAA games coming to Xbox.
