So an article celebrating a game that achieved a milestone”which by the way congrats to their team” and all anyone on this thread so far, (except @Wikkid666) has spouted negative nonsense. Wow, color me not surprised.

Yeah, you’re right in stating that as of today they’re is nothing yet that has the legs of Call of Duty. I don’t pretend that this won’t hurt Sony to a degree but nowhere the impact of what they are claiming.
Between now and the ten year mark, there will be new blood, companies, and tech innovations that will most certainly change the industry. I predict that games like a Call of Duty will not be as dominant nor important as they are today. With the advent of AI now becoming way mo...

People are smoking something if they think a Call of Duty competitor can’t be made in ten years. Hell we don’t have a clue where gaming will be in ten years. Think about we’re games were ten years ago? Things will have changed by ten.

Agree, this is really what all of the buyouts have been about. How games are distributed and from whose store.

Not surprised in the least. This deal as a whole was never about one game for MS. They obviously have a much broader strategy with the acquisition. With the desire to put Gamepass on everything from tvs, phones, pc, and the like. It’s about competing more against Google, Apple, and TenCent in the cloud. They see that as a much bigger market than the traditional console market. Which is what Sony is more focused on preserving. MS knew it wasn’t going to beat Sony at its own game. But they also...

I really think at least part of the issue as to why there are so many remakes. This generation and last generation, is the lack of variety of Big Titles. Once a company does find success the enticement of the money to milk the franchise is strong.

The problem is both sides of the coin trash talk. Nobody’s walking on water, most everyone been guilty of doing it. But at the end of the day both Sony and MS will be fine. Life is short, just enjoy the reasons these machines were made in the first place. To play games. Peace

How stupid this all is. These companies are going to do what’s best for them and their platform. Doesn’t matter who it is. You don’t have to like it but it’s the reality of business. We can pull out a thousand examples of past transgressions. At the end of the day I feel like we’re all at the school yard arguing much about nothing.

Actually Bethesda games are on the PC via gamepass and steam. You can stream those games via gamepass. As for Sony you can’t because they don’t have gamepass on their platform.

As for my comment above, regardless, if a game is on PlayStation or not wasn’t the point. Their philosophies on gaming are different. Sony is still in the traditional market that has served them so well. Ms is still focused on being as device agnostic as possible.

So again, it’s ...

I really think that by a lot of comments on here that people aren’t stating what’s really at stake. Traditional market vs no traditional market.

Sony is fighting to keep the status quo. Which is deals that favor them and motivates people to buy into their ecosystem. Nothing wrong with that.

MS is fighting to go the non traditional way with having their content on everything.

So it’s not so much about a game in particular. It’s about ...

So they expected MS to launch the games on their system? Well Sony isn’t exactly the poster boy on not locking out content from a competitor.

My take, they are desperate to maintain the status quo. They’ll say anything to stop this from going through.

Sure the more people they can have signup the more they’ll know about you. As for trippin out, it’s called sarcasm and I was using a lot of it, comrade.

Could just be saying that because they haven’t announced it yet. Or he could be saying that because Nintendo will launch a new console soon but doesn’t want to kill the momentum of the Switch.
