Very much doubt that. This is their new console. I'm sure they will be weary of making an excess amount after the Wii U, but it will not be in "short supply".
You're arguments in this article are very slim pickings. "Try playing any shooter for the Wii" I have, and nothing else compares to it, that's one of the best examples of the Wii, the amount of control and precision you get in an FPS on the Wii is insane.

A handheld is a console, it's in the fucking name, a handheld CONSOLE. I am a fanboy there's no doubt about it, most of my favorite franchises are on Nintendo consoles, but I also enjoy Sony and Microsoft. I'm not a blind "fanboy" tho...

That's because it is true, a handheld is a console no matter how much you don't want it to be, and we all know why that is (because Nintendo is king of the handheld space and you have an obvious bias against them) The Switch is a Console and the start of 9th gen.
Yeah, must be so hard for Nintendo since they constantly put out games on best of lists, have games that 20+ years old still getting critical praise, and having so many games, and IPs that they make so much money off of.

I do, got way more CDs then will fit on my phone, hate iTunes, and being out for 10+ hours a day with no way to charge my phone, gotta have something to listen to music with.
I still use my portable CD player regularly.

In order to help build up the console so that they can capitalize more later. Fact is, they undercut their own games on the Wii U. Ultimately it was their idea to cut content, etc. Hell look at that sniper elite game, they even took out the fucking practice mode.

@Edmix, that's why you create games specifically suited to the hardware, everyone did with the Wii.
It failed to sell well, because most publishers didn't give the system a fair chance.
Except when they sabotage their own titles on Nintendo consoles. There is absolutely no way that anyone can defend EA after the handling of mass effect on Wii U.
@ 10th rider, it's because the Wii U sales were terrible, we're lucky we got as many as we did. VC is def one area they need an improvement in, though they're already working on it, so I'm sure we'll have it at launch unlike the U.
