If Sony continues not riddling their dash with ads, and doesn't put put paywalls on every facet of the system, then yes they will definitely outclass Microsoft.
Cool, lots of games at the beginning of a console launch, bravo Microsoft, trojan horse this privacy killing, money milking machine in to peoples homes, then once you're happy with the amount sold your games can disappear again just like in the past.
Batman Arkham City GOTY new for 12.50 at frys looks like a deal.
Rumor is the presentation was also "staged," so who knows.
Looks like that PSone should play The Legend of Zelda, good stuff.
I think Sony wants the Xbox One momentum to keep going in the direction it's headed, or maybe even give it a little nudge to help speed it up, not slow it down.
Getting my Nintendo fixes on 3DS ATM, but will defo pick up a Wii U after price drop / console revision simply for Mario Galaxy and Wind Waker HD.
I think all this complaining is just a tip of the iceberg. The people being vocal are not just pissed about the conference as much as most like to think. It's confirmation of a con. People feel betrayed because they have put their support and money behind this company, and this company is crapping all over them. People have already started waking up to the rip off that is Xbox Live Gold. Or the realization they were baited by Microsoft in to buying the 360 only to be forgotten once t...
Agree with you 100%. I don't get how MS fanboys can't see that MS lost sight of them 3 years ago. All these new games are just to sell boxes until they get the install base then they will lose focus again, it's their M.O. And then getting suckered into another machine hindered by paywalls so they can keep sucking 60$ a year out of you. Wake up dummies, the exclusives aren't worth all this bullsh..
Interesting to hear Brits excited for the Xbox One, especially with how American centric the reveal was, however they did seem kind of fanboyish. Only made it 15 mins in.
Great show, very intelligent insight that reflects my suspicions as well.
Very good podcast, enjoyed the conversation.
haha I lol's at that to. My sad Vita, at least I can hang my hat on the hope of all those system sellers going to be announced at E3.
I've been seeing this a lot since yesterday, but has it been confirmed that you can put the disk in another machine, it with auth it on that machine and remove auth from the original machine?
This just seems silly, what is the point of having this system in the first place? Just so you can load it onto a hard drive and play it without the disk in the drive? It doesn't prevent passing the game around or even reselling the game infinite times, so it just makes little ...
Does this guy have a following? He sucks, and this was a waste of time.
They will survive for a while, they still have current gen Vita, 3DS, and Wii-U games to fall back on, plus it will take years for the 360 and PS3 to die off. But eventually there will be no need for them, they offer nothing to the gaming industry which is why the gaming industry wants to kill them off in the first place.
Another good reason to own a PS4, I like diversity in my gaming choices, and I love JRPGs. 360 wasn't called the "shades of brown" console for nothing, it became very stale especially the last 3 years. And Ni No Kuni, Fire Emblem: Awakening, and other JRPGs are selling nicely, showing there is a market for these games.
I like it, I'll apply that to Xbox Live Gold.
Fool me once into buying a machine that paywalls everything thats free elsewhere and make it seem that peer to peer connections are really on servers that I'm paying for shame on you. Try that crap again and me falling for it shame on me.
A simple tease showing they had some gaming focus could have changed this whole thing. Similar to what Sony did at theirs, showed a slide with all the devs currently working on the Xbox One. Or a slide of just the title logo's of these 15 exclusives, let people speculate what they are or could be about. Just those simple things would have changed everything, and I think further proves they are out of touch with their audience and really think their gaming core will just buy blindly any...
Don't forget they hope Sony charges for everything on the console like and has an xbox live gold sub service. Also they probably want to see Sony put Doritos and Mt Dew ads all over their interface.
