I had something similar happen once. I bought a game that was on sale at Best Buy. Beat it and went to GameStop just to check how much they were giving. Not expecting to trade it in at all. And they actually offered like $5 more than what I spent on it. That was including taxes too.
More like before they absorbed Electronics Boutique/EG Games, Funcoland, and Game World. Things were better when all of those places were around. But they took over all of them.

Like it's been stated by others. Microsoft tried with JRPGS both exclusive (Lost Odyssey & Blue Dragon) and timed exclusives (Star Ocean: The Last Hope, Eternal Sonata, Tales of Vesperia, The Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery). It still didn't help. Also remember them having an Ace Combat game that was exclusive or timed exclusive. Don't remember which. They also had Cry On (by Mistwalker) but that game ended up getting cancelled. Wish it didn't. So can't say they did...
If that's the case. You could buy used at GameStop. Play it and return it within the 7 day return period. At least it was 7 days last time I went to a GameStop. Don't shop there so it might of changed.
Rare Replay is $30 retail. So no way is it trading in for that much.
I've seen Kmart commercials on TV and yet Kmart left and closed all San Antonio locations years ago. I know I saw one in Killeen when I was there helping a cousin of mine move there like 4 years ago. Other than that haven't seen a Kmart in forever.
I'm not that into Tomb Raider. Like I got the reboot just haven't played it yet. Got it on a deal with a price match and in store deal at Target that got me the game for $1. Usually I'd just rent the games. Not buy them. I'm way more into RPGs, Fighting Games (even though I suck at most of them), and the Assassin's Creed games. I'll probably play through Uncharted if I ever get the chance to.

Nope is right. When you can get 2TB drives from multiple brands for cheaper. Be it Seagate, Western Digital, or what have with my Toshiba. I had a Western Digital MyBook 1 TB back when those shortly first came out. Only for it to crap out just a month out of Warranty. Have had a 500GB Toshiba that my sister got me for Christmas 2 years ago and it still works. So I went with a 2 TB Toshiba. All for data back up not for Xbox or gaming though.
Wow someone else who remembers Blue Stinger awesome. OK I didn't know the specifics of the Fatal Frame series. Oh ok. That makes more sense. Can't say I'm surprised that it's not. Do Japanese gamers even like Gears of War? I can't really blame Microsoft for not really supporting Japan as much. With the Xbox 360 last Gen that really tried and it still didn't sell well. With that said I wish Microsoft had more JRPGs like they did with the 360. I want another Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey. Also wish Mistwalker's Cry On wasn't cancelled.
I went from PS2 to Xbox 360. I missed out on more games just from not getting around to playing them yet then I did by not having a PS3. There only a handful of PS3 exclusives that I would of wanted to play. But Final Fantasy Versus 13 was the main one I wanted. Other's would be Metal Gear Solid 4, Heavy Rain, and Afrika. Without Tomb Raider there wouldn't even be an Uncharted. Never got the chance to play much of Uncharted since I went from PS2 to Xbox 360 to Xbox One. From what I did get to play and have seen. I'm behind as it is as well. I still need to play the Tomb Raider reboot. Personally I prefer Tomb Raider. But I kinda grew up playing it ever since the original back on the original PlayStation. Also never cared for Halo myself either.

"Japanese version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition wouldn't be coming to Japan" that doesn't make sense. How can it be Japanese version if it's not in Japan?
People sure didn't complain when Sony made the announcement that PS+ was gonna be a requirement to play online for PS4 during E3 2013. People were to busy praising Sony for all the digs that they were taking at Microsoft. And now people want to complain about this.
I only said that because Final Fantasy Versus XIII was the 1 game that made me want to get a PS3. I bought my PS2 back in the day for Final Fantasy X specifically.
