Damn that is impressive considering how old it is. I always liked this series, it was so dark, dreary, and sad. Not that I am emo or anything, LOL!, I just thought it had a great atmosphere and mood that was well done. It had the old school film noir feel which made it kick some serious ***.
Knowing Gearbox, this will be a competent shooter especially with the cover, teamwork, and destructible environments. But the fact that it is WWII has be flipping back and forth as to whether I want it or not. I am glad that is has lots of gore, though.
LOL! That was full of win.
I don't know what you are talking about. Not once does it even mention EA in that article.
Please be Halo 4!
Please be Halo 4!
Please be Halo 4!
Please be Halo 4!
Please be Halo 4!
Well, I don't know about that. But I do know that Naughty Dog the developers of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune said their game was roughly 30% of the PS3's power...and we all know how jaw-dropping that game was.
LOL! nobody likes me. *Sniffles* I thought the story was standard fare, not bad but not Bioshock or Metal Gear either. Damn, a lot of disagrees.
Crysis is like a Michael Bay movie--shallow, cliched, mindless, but OH SO PRETTY!!!!!!!!
Are you serious about the royalty fees? Damn that is uncool, I had no idea.
For a development studio that has got to be frustrating. Why do they even bother developing PC exclusives or even games for that matter anymore? PC users keep screwing them over. If I were a CEO, I'd say the "To hell with that" and just develop for consoles. You can even charge $10 more for the same game ($49.99 for PC games vs. $59.99 for console games) & milk them with DLC which you can't really do on the PC since they would just mod it.
Haze, Too Human, and Socom: Confrontation are the most disappointing titles this year for me. All three suck some serious ***. Beta or not, I don't care, Socom: Confrontation is FAR BEYOND repair. It is a complete joke--bad graphics, textures, animations, tons of visual seems/stitches, slow/clunky menus, cover is useless since you can't crouch behind something and shoot (gives you the yellow circle with the line through it), recoil is insane etc. It just feels clunky and isn't fun.
Why are PC games $49.99 but the same console game is $59.99 with no additions or extras? That is unfair and I see no reason what-so-ever for it.
The funniest one though was in the first game, towards the end, with Campbell
He says something like: "Okay, you have been playing for 4 hours already...don't you think that's enough?!?"
A minute later
"Seriously...go outside or something, don't you have something better to do?"
I don't want to start a fight but after playing that beta...uh...that game is terrible. Beta issues aside (lag, long loads, disconects) it just feels cheap and poorly made. I can't imagine ratings over a 7.5 for that game. I got no beef with you, if you like it--that's cool, my friend loves it but I personally think it blows.
^^^See that is what pisses me off, prior to the game's release they said they would continue support as long as people still play it. Considering it is played by almost the entire online community still, I am disapointed in Infinity Ward for abandoning it. They should have been more like Criterion who have the best post-launch support EVER! I am sold on any of their future titles without hesitation. I wasn't even going to get Burnout but because of the truly incredible support, upgrade, fixes, ...
I hated the map pack. Creek is a camp-fest, Chintown's building layouts are funky plus the map is just ugly, Killhouse is too damn small and hardly ever is played, Broadcast is the only good one.
I hate when games break the fourth wall...it disrupts the illusion and takes me out of the world the developers tried so hard to immerse me in. Metal Gear Solid 1 and 4 did that, especially 4 which did it a ton of times, with the references to the controller, the playstation 3, the first game, blu-ray, talking directly to me at one point when fighting Screaming Mantis, the quick flashes of the Playstations 1-3 and the logos etc. I hate that crap.
Yeah, I know. Awesome!!! THEY ARE SHOWING SOME PS3 LOVE!!!!!!!!!
I did not see that coming from EA!! Cheers, EA! Thanks!
I used to hate this game with a passion, but I must say it has grown on me. Before the trophies I think my total playtime was around 4 hours, so I never gave it a chance. Now, the trophies have me addicted and I really like it. It just has a high learning curve that takes a long time to get used to.
