This list by Xbox must be a joke. Almost all these games are coming to PC on day 1, some will be on Steam without the need to even have an Xbox account and the Yakuza games have been on PlayStation for years.
Xbox really doesn't understand what the word 'exclusive' actually means.
One of the dumbest opinion pieces I've ever read.
A good long list of promises CDPR explained during their 45-minute gameplay showcase, shows they lied literally about everything that would be in the final game, literally their virtual slice was what they wanted, and what we got was what they actually could achieve.
CDPR have around 900 developers (I didn't believe it either), clearly, anything beyond a horse is too complex for them AI wise.
I'm going to play the game on PS5, without the patch, I want to see what the "gold" version they shipped actually looks and plays like.
3060 Ti costs the same as the PS5 Digital Edition.
Again, the argument is simple, to get PS5 level performance, SSD speeds (vastly slower), Controls and more, you need to spend over $1,000.
What PC at $399 can play Valhalla at 1440p/60fps at high-ultra settings?
Price to performance has never been better for consoles as now, closest they've been since the 90s, that's what makes them such hot ticket items, well, the PS5 at least ...
Nope, PS5's SSD is 17.38GB/s with Kraken hardware and Oolde software compression.
5.5GB/s native, 8-9GB/s Kraken hardware typical + with Oodle software = 17.38GB/s.
Even a 7GB/s PCIe 4.0 drive using RTX IO will be 14GB/s max when that launches for a single drive.
Sure, you can get multiple SSDs and RAID them but yeah, you're looking at remortgaging your house at that point.
Like 17.38GB/s SSD speed?
To get PS5 level graphics quality, you need to get a 2080 Super or higher, that alone cost the same as the PS5.
To get a PS5 level experience; Graphics, CPU performance, SSD speed, Audio quality, Controls, etc - $1,000 minimum.
Valhalla on PS5 has settings between high-ultra at 1440p/60fps, price to performance has never been better for consoles as now (or at least for PS5).
Xbox sold worse this time with a budget console available too.
Phil even got Japanese devs on his side and got Next-Gen Yakuza timed exclusive for Xbox...
Sold worse than Xbox One launch week... Think it's time Xbox gave up on Japan, never going to happen guys!
So either they'll be single-player games littered with MTX (ala Deus Ex/Ubi games) or they'll get modified to have GaaS content like Fallout 76.
And they'll sell extremely poorly compared to Skyrim and Fallout 4 being given away for next to nothing.
Bethesda banking on PC gamers to make them money, or they'll eventually come to PlayStation gamers.
It is what it is.
Confirming it sold under 50 million life-to-date, and Switch outsold it in under 30 months.
Phil already bragging about Xbox Series though, funny how that works out, "best Xbox launch ever", so sales matter when people actually buy the console/s.
If Xbox Series is beating PlayStation 5 in North America (the only place it has a chance) this time next year; Phil, Larry and Aaron will be sounding off on Twitter, book it!
I see what you did there...
Wait and save up for Series X... S isn't the one.
So that Golem guy was talking nonsense saying PS5 was running it at 1080p...
The game will likely be Native 4K/60fps without RT too!
PS5 will end with 140 million sales before PS6 releases, better than PS4 did (demand is so much higher and the tech is vastly superior) and PS2. *Edit* PS2 wasn't at 155 million when PS3 launched, but PS5 will be at 140 million when PS6 does!
As for Xbox Series family, it will end between 70 to 90 million (dependant on Series S demand) and it will be Xbox's last home consoles as they will go as a Games as a Service company completely with xCloud/GamePass.
"set up to be pretty substantial"
Considering every major 3rd party launching on PS5 and XSX are showing the exact same resolution and frame-rate, I can tell you this is nonsense.
Additionally, AMD has practically confirmed they will patch in a DLSS like tech into PS5 and XSX|S next year, confirming both Sony and Microsoft can get "GPU driver updates", unlike previous consoles (I believe PS4 Pro had an OpenGL driver update but could be wrong).
Those "only on Xbox RDNA2 features" are only on Xbox because DirectX is a Microsoft API.
PS5 will have those technologies in time, either when Sony improve their APIs (GNM, GNMX and...
Very misleading by Microsoft/Xbox. They claim "only consoles with full hardware RDNA2 features" but these HARDWARE features are enabled via DirectX12 Ultimate SOFTWARE, meaning PS5 can't use those features as DirectX is a Microsoft, SOFTWARE technology.
PS5 will support those features, either with those own versions of those technologies or if they adopt Vulkan API and AMD support that via a System update.
Totally believable, $230 for 1TB Samsung 980 Pro, half of that for $115 makes sense.
That Series S with RAM as slow as launch PS4 RAM... :/
Yeah, not pulling the wool over anyone's eyes, especially those with more than a few brain cells to rub together.
Xbox PR has always been world championship quality, they're much better at this sort of stuff than actually making best-in-class games.
"exclusively - to the exclusion of others; only." All on PC day 1, most on Steam voiding Xbox ecosystem and some already on PS4 years ago. Terrible PR but some gamers don't demand better,...
