I googled Guro once, never again.
Tentacle dismemberment. At first I understood that with a dirty mind. Then I read the article. The monsters (some of them with tentacles) get dismembered.
Cool. I don't think I would have enjoyed a guro/hentai game.
Dead Rising 3, RPG?
...
While we're at it, every game with some character interaction and upgrading could be put in RPG...
The demo is actually from very early in the game, the battle system opens up much more later.
Where's Drippy?
I think it's clear that Ni No Kuni will win rpg of the year many many many times. For a reason.
Given it's sequel status, I don't believe it's such a huge flop. Still sells much more than most JRPGs on the market.
I suppose such a method just won't cut it. Youtube is a free service, so it's kinda-sorta ok for them to do so. But a game you paid for shouldn't have any ad within it, except maybe for future DLC related to said game or, at the real worse, ads for another game by the same studio.
I've developed quite a good banner blindness in my life, such things don't really affect me.
Now, if they go the Youtube's way, with a 15-45 seconds ad before a game loads or between stage transitions, then I'd go barking mad.
Aaaah thanks for the info!
There's something false in this article.
I'm 30 years old, I've played every single main Final Fantasy title since Final Fantasy on nes. I beat them all. Spent hours upon hours unlocking any and everything in each title. Yet, I really like the XIII series. And according to the author, only new gamers that don't know shit about RPGs do?
I'm one of those guys that played some of the most obscure RPGs like Paladin's Quest, 7th Saga, Illu...
I don't remember that costume with a blindfold...
Yeah he had daddy issues. But I don't know why, there's something about his little surfer boy looks that really flew over me.
And you're one to talk, you admit to have been playing only 5-10 hours of XIII. Each character has a nice development in that game, but oh, you wouldn't know that, would you? Unless you hate-lie about XIII like many persons...
I kinda liked Lightning. Much better lead than many other Final Fantasy heroes. Squall was an annoying nihilist emo boy, Vaan was really not much more than a placeholder for the player while the other characters made the story, Tidus was way too cheerful for my tastes.
I'd rank Lightning in the good FF leads class, along with Cloud, Zidane, Terra/Celes and Ramza...
Yeah I know it's uncool to enjoy the XIII series, I suppose I'm uncool then.
That's well explained. And quite true.
I don't know... When we got a NES when I was a kid, it was my mom that bought because she wanted to play it. (I was 4, then) And my mom's always played games. Hell, she evn had a full party of lvl 99 imps + imp equips in FF6.
Female gamers do exist.
Yeah, Fish had it hard too, real hard. That's why I don't like it when people try to involve sexism in such situations. It's not sexism. This shit happens to both male and female persons. And it's just as bad for both, just as hurtful.
I don't know if it really has to do with her being a girl. Of course her being a girl brings a different kind of bullying, but somehow it seems to me that she is being bullied more because of her game's subject matter, and also the fact that she has looks that kind of fit with the whole "Emos need attention" stereotype.
Now don't get me wrong, I don't mean she deserves it or that bullying is ok, but I can see a pattern of this type of online appeara...
Really interesting read, btw!
Oh my. Sorry. But one has to see the worst of the web one day. It cannot be unseen, but you're now much wiser. ...
