What exactly counts as violent video game?
Call of Duty and co is obvious, but what about stuff like Danganronpa, Zelda, Final Fantasy...
Hell, only non-violent game I can think of easily is cooking mama. Even Prof. Layton has violence in it...
... With you! Auuuuugh
Looks much better than I expected! :O
I don't really want photoeealistic games... I like cartoons, anime and stylized artwork.
I can see how games like metal gear or last of us could benefit of such tech still.
That duology, of which I've never heard about before last month, made it's way to my top video games of all time.
Now I'm seriously hoping they release Another Episode here, as well as a main series Danganronpa 3 game. Because Chiaki.
Puhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhu
"There is not one singular thing that Destiny does exceptionally well."
Then it certainly isn't worth of a 9.5?
Good but not exceptional games are more in the range of 7-8, no?
For you maybe, but as far as budget and release scopes go, AAA titles are the likes of Call of Duty, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Destiny etc.
The games I mentioned come from much smaller studios and teams, and have been created on much smaller budgets.
They also don't appeal to the mainstream mass of video game enthusiasts!
But for me too, they're what I rank the highest in terms of game quality!
Just this year there's been plenty of great releases. The Atelier remasters, Disgaea, Danganronpa duology, Sword Art Online etc.
No, it's not AAA stuff, but as a niche console, it's second to none.
I'm happy to see Danganronpa being so well received outside Japan! That means we'll most likely see Another Episode's release too! Speaking of which... The poster in the Ultimate Gamer's cottage... Hint hint!
The article says all voices are in Japanese only. That's not true. There is both English and Japanese.
It's a visual novel with a healthy dash of ace attorney style trial gameplay .
Another episode, the third game in the series, will be a third person shooter.
Seeing how both Danganronpa 1 and 2 are successful here ( for such niche games), I'm confident we'll get that one too! :D
More Toko is always a good thing!
Can't wait!
It's an incredible series. You have good taste.
As far as the 3 rpgs listed go, I've played and cleared those more than once each. I'll have a medal, please.
I'll try it some day. I hope the playerbase doesn't dry up too much until then!
Victory over what?
I'm a fan of Sony products, but all that "this or that console is winning" stuff is ridiculous.
You won't regret it, it's awesome!
Don't bother with the anime if you plan on playing the first game. It will spoil everything as the story is the same.
;)
Danganronpa 2... For obvious reasons.
