While it has some similarities to Persona, don't expect a full blown RPG. Danganronpa is a mystery / horror visual novel with some Phoenix Wright gameplay elements. That means you'll spend most of the time watching events unfold.
That said, those events and the way it's written will glue the Vita to your hand! And the gameplay sections are quite an adrenaline rush!
I just finished the third chapter of the first game and ooooooh boy I already can't wait for the sequel!
Most niche games are on Vita still (Within Sony, that is). I doubt we'll ever see something like Danganronpa or Monster Monpiece on home consoles.
