The 6 year old 360? IDK about that.
But if this rumor were true.
It may get better visuals than the current consoles,
with its Radeon 4xxx, and equal CPU more or less (need s more details on the CPU) to 360 and 512Mb ram. It could run visuals better than Ps3 and 360.
But it would only be a little better than what WII should have been 5 years ago anyways.

They can make a console with very high end like stuff, because they can make money on it over time.
I can totally see Ps4 (If released 2012) with AMD 7000 series GPU or similar (about a year old card when the system launches) and a total of 8+ GB ram isnt unrealistic at all seing that even some GPUs have 3-4 GB RAM. For you who wonder what RAM can be us...

I know, I played UT3 on ps3 with M&K since it launched AND I PWND so hard. Its been a while since I played it now..... Might need to play it again.
Yes I agre there is more to come and more that could be done.

Like nobody there has a face, I usually play when I have real friends with me, someone I know and trust, who will back me up and actually be on my team.
I play different games than most my friends.
Usually its Killzone or GT5.
I played a lot of Resistance fom/2 before.
None of my friends play UT3, Resistance , warhawk or Uncharted. and there...
Hm... well they could always do that I guess, but ofcourse it would only be VALVE developed games this time around.
Maybe next gen Sony and Valve could get deals down with publishers like EA to release their games for both pc and ps4 on steam with crossplatform play and stuff.
When they announced Portal 2 and Steam on the ps3 they said that if you bought the ps3 version you would get a free code to download MAC or Windows verison on your computer.

I hope that next gen might get off the HDCP or atleast have a built in recording component with dedicated storage that can be used to capture anything that goes through the outputs. Anything but movies (since that would lead to piracy).
Then store it on the main storage Drive, upload, copy and share with friends.

Uppgrade the HDD in those is expensive. way cheaper just to buy the model with the bigggest HDD to begin with.

You should look up the cell, and I tell you many devs makes the CELL run tasks that is usually put on GPU's elsewhere.
Aslo RSX is almost as good as Xenos.
They are different.
but yet very similar with the biggest difference being the architecture.
One does onething better than the other and the other way around.
Xenos might be like 5-10% better overall, but the CELL weighs up bigtime with its much higher performance, prolly 60-80% f...

There is clearly room for some improvements on the ps3 with CRYengine 3.
They need to fix A.I, some minor physics and visual bugs as well. Potensially there will be less flat stuff, MLAA and higher res and FPS on ps3.
Why? the ps3 is faster than 360, but its version somehow end up being slightly worse looking.

Who cares what it looks like?
Well it shouldnt be ugly, but its just a cover of what is inside. thats what matters the most.
Design should be clean and the flow of air through the system should allow whats inside to stay cool.
Looks is just a good bonus.
I can ignore some plastic, but Ill love a proper finnish, good lines and smart solutions to its external design.
