Enigma
Dont remind me that Respawn is under the shadow of EA. Now Im depressed. those are good devs and I dont want to see EA roast them alive like they did to visceral, Titanfall 2 was stellar, perhaps my favourite fps this generation... EA is going to ruin them as well no doubt.
May this Panda haunt EA until they perish.

If he is that should be interesting. hopefully he will approach Alien as a horror franchise while dabbling into the corporate shitstorm side of things.
Alien Isolation is really good, and IMO the best use of the IP since the movie Aliens. We have had a few good AVP games, But in terms of true Alien releases not since at least the ps1 game.
If the new game is made in the same vein as Isolation, in other words immersive horror survival game. Ill be very in...
@ why o why
Ninja theory are great, I hope its true that MS will give them full creative freedom along with great support. that would be good. If MS forces them to make GaaS type games I'll be pissed.
Its a little sad we wont be seeing any more games from ninja on Playstation, but I think they will keep making good games still and they will be available on both XBOX and PC so their games will still be hugely accessible still.
I have no doub...
Do graphics make the game?
Gameplay actually makes the game, but Graphics makes it a video game.
No graphics = No video game. there you go.
On a serious note, one thing alone in a videogame usually wouldnt stand all that well on its own and if it had to be anything it is the gameplay or aspect of playability.
A game is a package deal and a game could be lacking in one or multiple departments and still be an enjoyable game, but it sorel...
The last of us. Ps3 then ps4.
shadow of the colossus. Ps2 then ps4.
Metro 2033/last ligth. Got those on pc then bought the redux for ps4.
lien Isolation. Got that on ps4, then bought it again on a steam sale, its that good and I wanted to try some mods for it.
What a waste of a blu-ray disc. 🙄🙄🙄
In fallout 76 you can experience the jank together with your friends.
Splash damage and their game dirty bomb? yes both of those are real.
Hope it wins the buggest game of the year at the game awards this year.
Developers who doesnt make the prettiest game now probably wont make them next gen either. For the most part, unless they have some sort of an internal shakeup or invest in better tools and engines at least.
Not every game will have the visual prowess or polish like naughty dog games typically have had, but I would wager that polish and fun should be something to strive for. Many games are fun and unique and if they are polished enough I keep on playing them.
Just make the ps5 so it actually have a storage interface from this decade unlike the ps4 which incredibly enough uses sata 2 and not 3 which makes the ssd seap on ps4 next to pointless.
Ps5 featuring a hybrid drive isnt too unrealistic, but wouldnt bet on it. I will swap in a hybrid if it doesnt have one.
Cant go back, I have a hynrid in both my ps4 and ps3 and I use a hybrid as my main game drive on my pc where only a handful of games Ive actually stored on my ...
Ignore it, its never going to happen on a closed system. Each developer is free to run their games like they want. They choose their tradeoffs for their game. Restricting developer to have to conform to artificial stanfards isnt actually a good thing.
Maybe a developer is making a game where framerate doesnt have that much say on the experience of the game say exploration game or strategy, where it isnt very fast paced requiring fast reactions from the player. it will look much nicer...
Maybe part 2 is more graphic, but that feels like a natural evolution to me.
THe first game makes most uncomfortable, Like the part where Joel lands on a steel rod, or when a friendly character dies, when joel kills the doctor or tortures Davids men. With the last of us you are in for an intense and emotional rollercoaster. If the Last of us part 2 makes you feel something I guess its just more of the same.
Its a shitty world in the last of us and now they have the means t...
Sure 4k 60fps will be supported, but I am going to stress it again that not every game will be 60 and will probably never be.
At best we can hope for a mandatory 60fps mode enforced by Sony that sacrifices resolution for games that otherwise run 4K 30fps to allow them to run at 60fps. And more likely than not some few games will still be sub 4k regardless of framerate with some sort of scaling to output at 4k.
Developers choose for themselfes and consoles are sta...
It would be colins favourite system update ever. All the stability and none of the rubbish. Rest in peace.

They can still use dedicated graphics chip along with the integrated graphics on the cpu. higher cost? yes, but consoles are about selling software and services more so than selling hardware with profit from day one. both ps3 and 360 are good examples of this where the cost of the system was actually more than the asking price.
I doubdt anyone would go crazy like Sony did with ps3, but something more like 360 that doesnt have massive R&D behind it and uses more or less ...
Thats great it gets really small far away on the couch.
I would also like more screen adjustment options as GOW doesnt fill my entire TV screen and it is the only game I have played on ps4 that doesnt do that up until now. anyone else have this?
@fox
Have to buy? Not if mid gen refreshes keep happening like now. There isnt much difference beetween a ps4 and a Ps4 pro and dare I say though to a different degree x1 and x1x.
They have and play the same games and apart from resolution and sometimes framerate (optional or otherwise) the games are the same give or take a little spit for polish depending on the tune.
As an owner of a launch ps4 I see little reason to upgrade, and add to it ...
4k sure, but 60fps? 30 or 60 fps will always be a developer choice more so than resolution. Not every game will be actual 4K but 95% probably will. less frames and or resolution means more stuff on screen snd thats what some developers will choose when making a game for something with static hardware like a console.
If you are waiting for native 60fps for all games youll be waiting forever. Some games will be 60 and some 30. Thats how it has always been, and that wont cha...
@MajorLazer
I know, I still love my vita. But I think I know why it failed.
From my perspective its 3 main reasons.
1: Expensive as fuck proprietary storage cards. I know I bought one (32GB) litterally 3 times the price of an SD card of the same size.
Sony should have cut the prices on this and the initial models and just have the refreshed models use SD cards and they would have solved this issue.
2: They should have ...
