Same.
I expect the price to land between 450-550 for PS5 disc version.
And games will come, looking forward to a few early ones already and if the hardware fails then there is warranty for a reason and whatever weaknesses there may be will get sorted out within a year or two and I highly doubt it will be as bad as the 360 was.
Early 360 SKU's were a mess and normally launch systems arent that terrible that its normal to replace them multiple times ov...
Agreed. Im excited about the Ps5 and Im getting it preordered if I can.
Its possible that launch units will have some issue or like weakness, but as far as failure rates go I doubdt its going to ever be as bad as the 360 was. that was wild back then most people I knew had replaced theirs like twice, and I read about a guy in an article who was on his 12th 360 or something at one point.
And my 60GB Ps3 ofc Yloded like 3 years after launch and they sent it back to m...
Kojima originally anounced that the game would be on Ps4 AND pc.
Death stranding was made with pc in mind, and I've read time and time again how Kojima and Guerilla both contributed on uppgrades and alterations to the engine during the developement of death stranding.
Article from December 2015 states as much.

Personally I blame it on the memory cards and bigger devs just abandoning the thing.
Sony should have pushed it harder, put more games from their teams on the thing and the first redesigned unit should have had SD cards instead, video output for TV and Sony dropping the price on the proprietary cards agressively and just eat the cost to satisfy early adopters.
Imagine if all the PS studios had a smaller team, say 20-30% of the studio always working on a Vita game, ...
Now imagine in 20 years are you going to have what PS1 - Ps9 all hooked up and working?
Hardware doesnt last forever, but the games do last a long ass time..... would be nice if the new box could play the old games no?
Some of us care about preserving old games and revisit some of them now and again. Emulation and BC is a big part of that. Most people dont have space to keep 10-15 systems around, and if they do at some point they will fail and you cant get them fix...
Yeah, wasnt too worried about missing out on 120fps games because that would be probably only some racing games and indies. my main gripe if I can call it that is if some games dont lock down the framerate. say its all over the place between 45-70 fps. Id have to lock that down to 30 in the game settings. I cant take the stuttering and tearing. but Variable refresh makes games that run like that a little nicer. Infamous SS was kinda like that, it was all over the place unlocked, but worked ...
Same played on my plasma from like 2010 to 2018 that was 1080p. Got an LG oled and I am ready.
The only thing I feel I am missing out on is support for variable refresh I guess since my oled doesnt have HDMI2.1... but hopefully most games will run steady enough for there not to be an issue.
Skipped the Pro, been waiting for a real upgrade. Ps5 is it, and I cant wait.
Curious what PS4 games will run and look like on Ps5. I hope for a couple new game announcements soo...
Framerate and resolution aside it looks really bad.
There just is no excuse for infinite to look the way it does. MS and 343i have been hyping it up talking about the power of SX and the slipstream engine and touting all over the place showing off the engine in little clips and trailers, and then show us this which looks really unfinnished and doesnt resemble the early trailers or Slipstream clips in the least.
Wether or not it is an early build its just an excuse ...
@343_Guilty_Spark
Those games are also not on a 12TF Ryzen/RDNA 2 console.
They are on a 7 year old anemic Jaguar/GCN1/2 console rocking a wheezing 1.8TF...
The next gen consoles are so much more powerful and efficient that there really is no excuse for Halo infinite to look like it does.
It doesnt really do anything that the new system cant do unless I missed something.
Once support from developers ends thats it.
At that point it becomes a handdown system to kids or a secondary unit for movies/streaming in a another room.
Streaming off a PC or Series X to a another screen is a possible use case too Im sure.
Modding it would be fun, throw some homebrew and emulators on it.
If you arent giving it away, hooking it up to anot...
I hope that is the case. The game just came out and Im assuming the game can be patched or set up to know when its running on ps5 and have a PS5 mode.
Im no dev or engineer, but I dont think PS5 mode in a patch or some sort of advanced system level boost mode for ps4 games is too far fetched in order to achieve virtually the same thing as what a typical remastered version would be.
Well they arent.
Stadia relies on a solid stable connection and somewhat fast connection.
For many people it isnt feasable and even for people with fiber it falters for some.
There is lag, it wont ever be as responsive as local hardware, it can be playable, but it is anywhere between perceptible to annoyingly slow or unplayable...
And on top of compression artifacts and quality losses... its not even always offering superior technical p...
Once the game fades back in it will probably have these tips in a box or like subtitles on screen that fades away after 5 seconds.
They will have to put the tips in the game after it loads up or load the game again but put you in the pause menu or a semi transparent pause screen where these can be displayed and you simply press a button to return to the game. However this reload pause screen should an optional toggle. Maybe just hold a button as the game fades to skip the pause scre...
I've seen some comments about this around out there and people are appearantly disapointed its 30fps , 1440p and not RT.
Yeah sure but it is a playable real time tech demo on the ps5. it looked playable anyways.
The Lumen tech is impressive and can be used alongside RT effects.
And here is the thing, there is virtually no pop in, I didnt see any and games can use full on movie quality CGI assets in real time and the engine scales it in real t...
60 fps is not universally applied standard for games on a fixed hardware box?
Imagine my shock.
I do hope most games will have a performance mode though, but however a game runs is always up to the developer. they only have what they have. and consoles have been capable of 60fps since like forever but it hasnt become a standard because choosing 60 fps pretty much means cutting a big chunk if not half of your resource budget for detail and resolution. That said we a...
Im trying not to get fully spoiled on the story, i did catch a glimpse in comments somewhere about a thing that goes down. and it is bat shit crazy and I did not like it. Im hoping its not that bad and somehow it works. but probably not.
Based on reactions from Neill, sony and ND as a company to the leak, to people sharing their opinions and trying to avoid and deflect issues about how ND as a company is run and how they handle backlash....
I will wait until after...
I understand not everyone would want to get one right away.
Chances are there will only be like 2-5 exclusives around launch and a few next gen only multiplats to possibly justify it. That is enough for me. Just way too excited about hardware and even if there is only a few games to get at launch Ill be happy, more will come soon enough.
The fact that ps5 will be bc with atleast ps4 really helps too if there is a few months between more enticing releases....
A reasonably capable pc is only a few hundred dollars.
More expensive than a console? sure. but a Pc is what you make it. 600bucks or 2 000 bucks.
Also games on PC are pretty much always cheaper than the same title on console and you dont pay to play online unless the game is a pay to play subscription service like WoW.
Im guessing you already have a computer so you have most of the accessories needed but to get going a cheap mechanical keyboard ...
I loved 7, currently going through 2 remake. Both are are great. People are clamoring for more remakes, but I dont think they need to make multiple at once. Id be interested to see where the series goes and a next gen entry would be good. The lighting and detail should be something else.
I would have guessed the mic, but the article says the system read gyro and accelerator data and also pressure switches so maybe the white plates have sensors under them to sense pressure.

I can believe this. everything is virtually already there in the Ds4 minus the pressure sensors which probably doesnt cost a lot.
we have tech that recognizes peoples gait on video feeds. so simply the way you walk is sometimes enough to recognise and track you.
