Didnt wolfenstein already have vrs on pc? I seem to remember they patched it in? 🤔

Also I think the last of us had something similar where objects closer to the edges of the screen would have simpler shading? Could be wrong ofc. Not sure, its been a while since I think I heard that. Would have to dig that up if its anywhere to be found. 🤔

Anyways, I dont see a reason why ps5 cant have it if it is an amd technology.

Yes but some games uses scanned items and materials so devs wont have to make everything from scratch.
This will become more and more common and result in less time making games. At least it helps as other aspects surely do take longer but there is hope prices stay the same.

I dont think it happened, but if the graphics is simple enough you can run 1000fps at 8K provided you have an interface that can stream the amount of data that requires.

I cant remember if the HDMI version they used back then could even do it, but again the hardware otherwise is good for provided the game is simple enough. I remember PS3 got a patch that made it able to display 4K, I think it was useless for gaming as it was running at like 24fps but I remember it could sho...

I dont think so. The consoles will have faster ssds than what is "mainstream" now and they will raise the bar as games will be designed to take advantage of the speed. Until now the lowest common denominator has been hardrives but it wont be any more as the next gen systems land. Most games are "console" games and most pc gamers will have to uppgrade their drives within a couple years probably if they want to keep up with the latest games and run them properly. The whole p...

Sata and usb 3 wont cut it for the ps5 games. It would pretty much have to be an external pci slot and proprietary cartridges.

Going by the information we have got the drive speed for the ps5 is going to be a lot faster than both the current sata and usb standards. Sata and usb will be fine for ps4 games though.

Its a video game and Ellie fought guys in the first game what she lacks in strenght and momentum she will have to make up with agility and techniques, and fighting dirty. I think it will be fun, in straight up fist fight she probably wouldnt fare well against a bunch of guys, but she has a little arsenal.

I've been certain for weeks now that the coming systems will have some variant of Navi 20. None of the navi 10 ones have hardware accelerated rt. Microsoft have confirmed they have RT hardware, sony havent but I imagine its the case for their system as well. Its safe to assume purely software RT wont run very good. HW might get the job done and in my mind there isnt a choice to tout ray tracing without some dedicated hardware.

We really dont know what ps5 will be sporting just yet, but I believe it will be sporting some variant of big Navi (Navi 20) which the 5700/5700XT is not.

This I base on the fact that both Sony and MS are talking about Ray-tracing which is possible on the 5700's sure, but not a touted feature. In ms's case they are definitively NOT 5700's. MS most certainly has a variant of big navi and this we can safely extrapolate from the single fact that MS claim the Scarle...

Recently got and played this game, I really would love a sequel because it was pretty good. It was kind of short but we all knew that. The stealth was not amazing, but I actually kind of liked it in the indian company level where I breezed through and felt like a boss, while it felt a bit less fair in the airship level, but I only had a handful of retries there.
Also the werewolf fights pretty much boiled down to me not putting up with that shit so I always retreated to a corner so I...

I think 4K 30-60fps is going to be the norm for AAA titles. Depending on the dev and style of game wether its 30 or 60. But good to know the support is there. Even if ps5 is a beast there is only so much power and I bet devs are going to mostly keep it at 4k and some sacrifice framerate because they can get away with 30 for some type of games like they have always done. We shall see though.

Cant wait too cover myself in that fresh console smell. Lol.

No but serioisly they should have made a console finnish cleaning spray with new console smell. That would actually make sense. Like we have new car cleaning products and air fresheners that smell like a "new" car so that would kind of be nice to have a product to clean and polish up a console with a product that has a subtle fresh smell.

perhaps but for me Im curious about the others too, mostly the PC, thq nordic and devolver digital. I think theyre doing it too this year. should be some good there.

ubisoft, activision and ea might show a handful of potentially good games. I know EA is supposedly having a stream for the last jedi. and thats a full on singleplayer game from respawn.
also actually curious about COD this year as its IW doing a MW reboot supposedly focusing a lot on the story and ...

@Vasto, sure One X is fairly well priced for the performance you get and just like the One S which I got it had a 4K Blu-ray drive which is one good point alongside being able to play lots of legacy xbox titles.

But there is a few holes in your argument there and something I'd like to add.
1: I do have a Pc more capable than One X. and many people have.
2: people who dont can easily uppgrade just one or more components at anytime unless they have only ...

No way, first off the ping is going to vary from where you are in relation to a datacentre and second if you have. 30-40mb down speed like I do over copper then all it takes is for someone else at home to stream or download to tank that speed completely.

This.
Its just a nice convenient feature, I have a big tower desktop computer and its heavy. This is better than lug it around and set it up back and forth between my desk and tv. If you are a pc gamer and already have an X one, this is great and when it gets M&K support it will be super sweet.

So what, steam link is discontinued.
And this feature is badass whether or not its been done before. Also the steam link only work with games on steam no?

I bought a 1s mainly as a 4k bluray player and occasionally games if this works well Ill be using it a lot.
Hopefully it will work with every game in the future, for now Ill be impressed if all games with native xbox controller support works and the stream over ethernet is a solid quality. M&K s...

And here I thought her arms would be noticably different looking, looking weird or polygonal or rigged so that it just looks off compared to other contemporary games. and one demo she is more muscular than the other and thats pretty much it. Okay so not really a downgrade then?
If it had like early ps3 level animation or noticebly less detailed arms in some way then sure but this?
its just model tweaks. why? who knows, but it doesnt really look any worse, its just slightly...

It would be a suprise to me if the fps doubled in most games, not that it isnt possible but I would think that the games will definetively be rendered at higher resolution with some imposed IQ solutions applied like improved anti aliasing, Anisotropic filtering, possibly bumping shadow resolution and similar effects with most likely defaulting to enhanced assets where available. as far as framerate go, games should more often than not be able to lock their target capped fps and not have many ...
