Isn't there talk of God of War an "other" Sony-based IPs getting PC ports?
Next gen has the ambition of flipping the industry on its head with all these tech partnerships. I'm not saying that Sony X Microsoft's Azure initiative means ports are gonna be a thing, but more and more corporate concepts are crossing into the realm of future gaming's possibilities.
Even just having a basic grasp of things like HEX editing and body mapping (for making and adjusting mods) gives me a deep appreciation for the devs and the months of less than jubilant labor they put into assets big and small. They may have the comforts (or lack there of) of a studio environment, but a lot of their job differs little from scrubbing a deck with a toothbrush.
