GTA 6 is already in production.
Take Two would never allow an exclusive at this point. This isn't 15 years ago where third party exclusives were selling gang busters. I believe the reason the game was even exclusive back then is because Rockstar pulled exclusivity on a bunch of games, LA Noire for example, and promised Sony a game. I think they gave Sony the GTA marketing rights as compensation for this game.
But who knows. Whenever a publisher fights hard to keep a trademark that means they might be do...
EA could easily finance it. Idk who owns the rights to it. If Lucas Arts owns it then making the game, especially now with the install base out there, is a no brainer. If EA has the right to commission the game then idk how they can't get one of their studios on it.
I really don't want to play another Star Wars RPG. If Bioware is gonna make it an action adventure game then I'm all for it.
I don't get the logic with these publishers making these games exclusive to one platform when the bust level on a product like this is that high. Unless these VR games are cheaper than regular AAA or even indie games idk how you justify making a game that might legitimately only sell around 100k units lifetime exclusive. Smarter thing to do with all of these third party games is to release it everywhere.
This should be on EA Access in a few months, i'll just wait. Same with Battlefront.
For me I don't care because I'm not buying the game to begin with, but if the market is there I don't see what's wrong with what Square is doing. Square knows there's a fanbase of people that want this an will buy it anyway so they're trying to milk as much money as possible out of that fanbase while they still can. If they can do the remake and sell part at 20 or 30 bucks and there's 3 or 4 parts they're winning as opposed to selling just the remake at 50 buck...
I've never got the bitching and moaning about MT. Just never understood it. I've played maybe 40 hours of Temple Run on my iphone and I've bought ZERO MT's. The game has prompted me to do it, I've been offered cool stuff to do it, and I'm sure I'm in the minority but I'm also a grown man that knows his financial limits and choose not to buy into it. MT's are not the death to gaming. Games are expensive as hell to make, thus publishers try to find ways to ci...
EA please cut the crap and release Skate 4. I can't take it anymore with these rubbish games by Activision.
Please port this to the XB1.
You're full of it. The alpha is outstanding.
Problem is the change in management. You have guys like Adam Boyes heading up the game studios and what do you expect? Back in the PS2 days you had dudes that cared about blockbuster AAA games while mixing in the creativity. Man compare the PS2 or even the mid to back half PS3 games to this crap and it's embarrassing. Come on a beyond 2 souls and heavy rain remaster?
Yoshida is delusional and a prick to the fans, but he's some kind of god. I still remember the crap he was saying during the PS3 launch.
Because the core Xbox fanbase don't want another PGR when we already have Forza Horizion, another game that Phil brought back because the fans wanted it, and Forza Motorsport. We asked for Phantom Dust to come back and it's in development. We asked for a next gen crackdown to come back and it's in development. We asked for Rare to get back to making AAA IP and it's in development with multiple IP's. We asked them for Halo wars 2 and they're not only bringing it to XB1...
I give him too much credit for what? Fans asked for BC he brought it. Fans asked for him to buy the gears IP he bought it. Fans asked for Rare to stop making Kinect games he has them working on numerous IP. Fans asked for a new UI he's giving it to them. Fans asked for power saving options on the xb1 he not only brought that but he brings monthly updates to the box. How am I giving Phil Spencer too much credit when every thing the core fanbase asks this man to do he does it?
This is my number 1 problem with the way playstation is going. People can call me a fanboy all they want but it's this type of behavior from their execs that have me criticizing them. You're absolutely right. So the fans want a bunch of these old Double Fine and Lucas Arts games that bombed and no Socom remastered or even a Socom game? They can greenlight games like Dreams which is guaranteed to bomb, but greenlight a new Socom game? Sony is moving in a direction with Yoshida and Layd...
Oh please. People buy shooters. The install base is there to sell it and as long as they put it early in the year or early summer to keep it away from the CODs and big shooters it would be fine. Yoshida thinks he knows what the fans want.
Yoshida is a funny guy. Everytime the fans tell him what they want this prick comes out and either says no or that he wont do it. Total opposite of Phil Spencer and even Tretton when he was the head of Sony.
i am looking at them. Mass Effect 2 and 3 are outstanding and Dragon Age Inquisition is one of the best western RPG's I've played in years.
I thought the first one had all the makings of being a top of the food chain franchise. The concept was outstanding and the gameplay was unique. I really hope Dave Jones can revamp the game because hardcore Xbox fans have been calling for a proper Crackdown game for years now.
