I see you haven't played FFXII.
Look up a little guy named Vaan. He's the definition of a bland character that's actually worthless in the grand scope of the game.
Lightning seemed flat to me. She goes all that way with Hope and then she just suddenly changes her mind. It didn't seem terrible but she didn't really do it for me.
If I had to pick one character, I'd go with Sazh. His storyline was the most interesting and he had the most emotional part of the game.
Is he in FFXIII-2?
I never heard the music till now and honestly, it's not terrible. It's decent enough but it all sounds like filler music when compared to FF's heyday.

Actually the voice acting in English is surprisingly solid. It never really feels forced or stupid or anything. They all do a really good job so I think you should reconsider since it's a very good game.
Well they probably played an older form of it and most games aren't polished in that form and IGN knows it. But they just never polished past that.
To say Ezio isn't one of the coolest characters this gen....well then I don't know what to say.
Besides maybe Link, that'd be the coolest guest character yet.
Well, you gotta give them credit for the end of RDR. That "boring" part was the redemption John was fighting for the whole game. Life with his family. And he sacrificed himself for them.
I personally never saw a game end that way and it floored me after spending nearly 50 hours in that world (I never ran when I was on foot). Besides the forgive-the-bad-guy ending of GTA IV and MGS3's ending, nothing ever stuck with me like RDR's ending. Days later I s...
@ kran
Well there's a difference from being cautious and being cynical.
I just hope for the best. If it's not great, well, that sucks. If good, then yay.
Bad story and music in a FF game = skip.
I don't care if it got a 1 or 10, story and music are most important in a FF game.
I liked XIII enough but if the story's bad and the music's forgettable then I'll just write this off no matter how much better everything else is.
It could just be thoroughly unfun.
I'm sure they're being dramatic but I doubt it deserves much higher than even this.
Yeah I remember CoD4 did that on the intro level. Tested you then recommended a level for you.
Still, when a game has a story you really care about, it's hard to want to be punished for failing. You can say Heavy Rain but that script was incredibly long. And people still weren't satisfied with the plot holes.
There's a balance there though. And things you can add on to increase difficulty if you really need punishment. Like do the level w...

It sounds like robots and constantly cuts out mid sentence. The game's decent but when it's me and my friend playing, we just get annoyed cause we can't really hear warnings from each other. It's passable but when we get annoyed and switch to another game, she sounds crystal clear.
I'm so**************************** ****** glad they're finally fixing it.
Haha, you could just leave it on hard.
And the only fight in XIII that felt unfair was the final boss. It was like suddenly hitting a brick wall in an averagely difficult game. Had to look up strategies to finish that one (poison spell and constantly heal with one offensive person).
I have a feeling people are gonna react overly dramatic even though 99% of games are easy nowadays.
edit: Oh and at when you go to that lower level (forgot th...
"Don't knock us because your gay. Each to their own."
Haha, that's offensive but it was said in such a funny matter-of-fact way.
Yeah they probably make about $500 off every disc bought by a rental company. I know dvds cost about $120 per for Netflix or blockbuster to buy.
But still, odd to see a developer say this. Course Jaffe's never been normal.
Maybe cause he was airing his opinion out for other people to digest...man.
And it's the squeakiest wheels that get the most attention.
@atomike
Haha, yeah I know the 360 hardware was pretty flawed from the start. Mine never RROD-ed but the disc drive magnet thing broke and that wasn't covered on their warranty. I bought another one to tell you the truth since it was about the same price when I sold the broken one to gamestop and put in the rest.
But as the years passed, I stopped using my 360 and just used my PS3. I guess people should be hurt over that but that's how things are...
Haha, on a budget but like RPGs?
That's probably the* best system for RPGs since the PS2. Crisis Core, Persona 1, 2 and 3, FF Tactics, Kingdom Hearts BBS, Tactics Ogre and all the PS1 classics on the ps store.
You can get hundreds or even thousands of hours out of those games and they're not even expensive.
So yeah, great option for the budget minded.
edit: Oh and Valkyria Chronicles 2. And all the great platformer...
