Haha, there's only two reasons why they can't figure out how to make a FFVII remake and it has nothing to do with towns or budget or anything silly like that. No, it's cause the cross dressing scene and the honeybee inn.

Yeah if you remember back to FFVII then when some event happens, your two other party members would sort of come out of Cloud then when the event ended, they'd run into him and disappear. It's cause the PS1 wasn't powerful enough to have two party member follow you at all times.

Yup. I remember I hacked my PSP and all the nonpiracy stuff was really worth it and never got into the games but it made it a better music player, all the homebrew games and everything else. I unhacked after dark alex dropped off the scene and that meant I couldn't play new games after so yeah.
But if only hacking wasn't so synonymous with piracy. Say all they want about "backups" but if only they'd just disable that.

Extremely well said. I always had PS3/360/Wii but I just sold my 360 on eBay. I had a good run with it (had one since launch) but I just had to sell it. They all have great games though and of course a single console owner would want to play any of the exclusives.

Well of course it's a much deeper game but that doesn't make it better. A game can have 100 hours of content but be incredibly boring. Like FFXIII. There was only 1 interesting character that had personality and that was Bathier. The rest were just going through the motions involved in a story that very little ever happens in. It had a lot going for it but had such a boring tone.

XII was worse than XIII.
The "plays itself" combat was 80x worse with gambits in XII. And got even easier once you got the higher end gambits.
And the story was boring*** and the music was boring.

I liked FFXIII but I can't abide by that statement. Story is most important in a JRPG. Definitely a skip now.

Well, it closes his main story but the short movie embers truly finishes it. And heavily* hints at AC3.

I honestly played that game all the way through and was only forced to play that 3 times. I like tower defense but that was just badly made. Hope they make it great (I really like tower defense) or just ditch it.
Still, yay Assassin's Creed. One of the best IPs this gen.
My only question is how they bought the incredibly expensive console (compared to one game) but can't afford to buy games? I mean, I can buy 3DS games but the actual hardware is out of my budget. How does that even work for them?

Honestly though, this is a great* year for RPGs. Western RPGs, JRPGs, just everything.
The nightclub scene in k&l1 was pretty amazing and the every gritty bit of k&l2, though unpolished in some ways, is truly great. These two are way way way under appreciated for all they do right.
