You have said it better than anyone I've ever seen, people complain about remasters and cry say "they can spend those resources on new games" yet most of the time its smaller side devs like bluepoint or sumo digital doing the remasters ie: not much resources or talent wasted.
Then when they actually invest in new ips they don't even sell well, chances are games like quantum break and rime won't sell much even though I'm sure they'll be amazing. ...

Well what people fail to realize is its actually a couple factors, launching on the console with the smaller install base, being sandwiched in between halo, fallout 4 and cod was terribad.
