As far as characters go though it will still be lacking but even games like guilty gear and virtual fighter launch with less.
Capcom screwed up and now the reviews are painting it for what it is.
They were sitting at a comfy 84 on metacritic but onice the other review sites started rolling out now it's a rightfull 78.

Yes this game is currently a shallow experience but will be a full game in March not 2019....
They will be adding the fight money shop, 8 player lobbys, the challenge mode, the spectators mode and so on as well as AleX will be the new character.
If your basing it off the amount of characters then guilty gear is an even less complete game than this.
