Why did this get approved? These have been around for months nothing new and certainly not news.
I know quite a few people who play visual novels from time to time. Myself included and the funny thing is most don't play them to "Get off"
More often they not alot of people play them because of the storylines. Visual novels quite often have incredible well done stories. Off the top of my head I can think of Snow Sakura which played recently. All the characters were very well developed and each had a very touching and dramatic Storyline. Also quite often they have good humor...
I still think Prishe would have been a much better fit for the game.
I have to say I agree about the Engine. We have yet to see a Unreal Engine game that has not had slowdown or screen tearing or clipping issues or Collision Detection problems. Lost Odyssey, Mass Effect, Gears 1, Gears 2, UT3 among others they all have problems. Yet EVERYONE loves the engine? WHY? It barely works.
Sure Multi player games are great fun and have their place but I would 100% rather play a good offline game because no matter what you do there are always gonna be people online that you don't want to deal with. You know who I speak of. There is no real way to rid yourself of them. For those saying use the Mute button that's not the point you still have to hear them before you mute them and you shouldn't have to play in a environment in which 75% of the people you come across will be muted.
Ipod Touch is better then Iphone for gaming you say? Well the PSP and DS are better for gaming then the Ipod Touch. Or anything Apple iMakes for that matter.
I prefer my games to be more difficult which is rarer and rarer these days. How this guy found Odin Sphere to be difficult I will never know but I never ever had a problem with it. Common sense would tell you if you just got torn apart very badly during a boss encounter that maybe seeing as the game is a RPG that you might not be ready to take it on and perhaps should level a bit. Anyone who would spends hrs to figure this out might not wanna be calling themselves a gamer.

I will agree that Xbox live is still a bit better then PSN. BUT what I don't like is that PLAYERS are still hosting the games for 90% of the titles on XBL. Now we are paying 50$ a year and ppl who have a month by month plan are paying more. Why do we not have dedicated servers? I mean what are we paying for? I would assume they picked ultimecia over Seifer is because she was truly evil where as Seifer was just kinda mislead and wasen't really evil.
First off saying everyone has no personality doesn't make it so. 2nd off if you don't like the story that's fine but the fact is that it ties up almost all the loose ends in the series which was no small feat considering the amount of them there were. I personally had no problems with the story at all except for maybe Otacon's acting. You are of course entitled to your opinion but I can't help but feel you were a little bit to harsh on the game.

anyone who has played and completed the Chains of Promathia expansion knows that Final Fantasy XI has incredible characters and a very good story line. If you haven't played It I highly suggest you don't speak so lightly of it.
I'm interested to see who the FFXI villain will be as there has been plenty of good ones. Although I would have liked to have seen Prishe being the rep for FFXI over Shantotto.
All I can gleam from that is that it will most likely be free. I doubt there will be some big ZOMG AWESOME demo or something in the episode but one can hope.

You know i keep hearing people say "it's a blog not news" Guess what stuff from Kotaku, Joy Stick, and destructoid gets approved all the time and last time i checked those are Blogs as well. So if blogs are not news stop approving stuff from those sites as well.
Yes I have heard about the series being intended as a Trilogy as well and to be honest I hope it's true. Mirror's Edge as flawed as it is holds great potential to be a incredible game they just need to refine a bit of the game play and balance it out a bit better. Getting rid of the cut scenes should be the first thing they do. I have yet to run into someone who liked them so I doubt they will use them again in the 2nd game. Don't misunderstand Oblivion was a good game. But it is no Morrowind. In Morrowind if you wanted to do something you could do it. The spell creation system allowed you to pretty much do anything you wanted and therefore made the game that much more free form and open because you could allow yourself to run a million miles an hour or jump over houses all as long as you knew how to create the spell to do so. Yeah it's a shame 8 Days was canceled and We will never understand the reasoning behind it. I mean the game looked incredible. Makes no sense to me. Perhaps we can hope that sometime in the future they may bring it back and finish it but I won't hold my breath.
The title makes this sound alot worse then it really is. Too me it looks like a bit of a toy type thing that lets you mess around with a virtual character. Sure it's a bit odd but that doesn't mean you are doing anything like abusing anyone. It seems like it's all in good fun. If people are making any kind of deal over this at all that is quite sad. Find something better to do with your time.
Don't be fooled Sony will most likely cut the price of the PS3 in the next few months. However they won't come out and say oh yeah we have a price cut coming. Because then all the potential holiday customers will simply wait for the price cut which is a bad thing for Sony. If the PS3 sells well this holiday then the price cut in the coming months will simply be icing on the cake for Sony.
