I'm glad I saw this because my switch hasn't been used longer than that. The fact that this is even an talking point is an issue.
I never said that each mario game is a rehashof whats gone before. When you take a game from 10 years ago and cut and paste it onto a new system, its characterized as a rehash not a remake. As for nintendos selection mariokart is abt 6 yrs old, zelda was released on wii u, mario vs rabbids 🤷🏿♂️ and the rest of those titles excluding odyessy/Astral chain were good but certainly not great.
How abt they work on providing new experiences instead rehashing old titles and charging full price for them. They seem like the only company that can't create remakes and new titles.
Another of people chastise activision (cod), ea (madden etc), and most recently Rockstar (gta 5) for selling the same game over and over again but, the truth is that no company does this more shamefully and egregiously than nintendo.
Its a damn shame that madden sucks as much as it does but yet is still 1st in sales.
You're comparing a pc game to a console game??????? You also loose all credibility when you say mario odyssey on the switch looks almost as good as ratchet (especially when its a video of gameplay).
Why release new games when people are happy with buying 7 yr old ports. Nintendo is more than happy with accepting consumer dollars if people continue to throw it at them. These complaints fall on deaf ears as long as they continue to sell their console/product.

My switch has been collecting dust for months. I basically utilize it as my vacation console. The cost of the console, game, and accessories are way too high to be such a niche device. The last time nintendo made a system with a quality library that was vast and diverse was the SNES. They've been getting by on the reputation of their name ever since.
@vulgaris. Great point!!!!!! It absolutely boggles my mind that nintendo gets away with remakes, retooling games, and the occasional new releases. Mariokart 8 was released in 2014. Its was remade on the switch in 2017 and is still full price on most sites. If we dont expect better or demand better then we will continue to get shafted by Nintendos lame business practices. They're gaming library pales in comparison to the ps4 or xbox 1over the same duration of time.
Heavenly sword was amazing!!!! It definitely needed a sequel. The fighting mechanics were amazing.

I beat heaven sword. Such a great game, it was a little slow to start but, after an hr or 2 I was hooked. Shame that It never got a sequel.
Actually the story is about the game. With no game their would be no voice actor, no death threats, and no story. To say it's not about the game doesnt make any sense.
I have a suggestion for everyone that's complaining abt the game and the characters................. dont play or stop playing it. It's not mandatory that you buy or complete the game; for goodness sake life goes on. To get this angry abt a game says less abt the game and more abt your lack of coping skills and overall mental well being.
Nintendo is quickly becoming the king of remakes. Mario is cut and paste. Zelda hasnt had a new game in ages. Their games are entertaining but, when the nostalgia factor wears off it's hard to justify my switch as a major console instead of just a vacation console.

Review scores are the opinions of another person, so you can believe what you choose to believe. It's up to you to make that decision if you like it or not.
Not necessarily days gone on the ps4 got some pretty bad reviews and the general consensus was that gamers loved it and thought it was amazing.
This is a hard pass. Overwatch currently sucks and I can only imagine how bad it'll be on the switch.
