lol you gotta love a review embargo that's basically 6 days after a game releases.
Final fantasy has generally been an RPG. The reason that people (including myself) are having an issue with 16 is because we expected it to have Rpg features. It's definitely not a bad game, it's just not a final fantasy rpg game. it's like when metal gear released rising, it was distinctly differentiated as a different genre. if it were marketed as a mainline metal gear title, I'm sure fans of the stealth action genre would not be happy.
I bet you that all versions will have a million microtransactions.
well said!!!!
I haven't finished the game yet but I'm having mixed feelings as well. I'm enjoying the story but, the lack of enemy variety, the absence of rpg elements, and the empty world or fast travel is underwhelming. it's a pretty good game, but not a good final fantasy rpg game.
if you actually read what I said instead of writing a novel you would realize that i stated the story in DMC isn't great. as for strategy I'm mot sure what game your playing. last time I checked it's hit square a ton while occasionally hitting triangle. btw don't forget to press R1.
if you ever played dmc you would realize that it's not really a game based on great story telling. ff 16 is a hack and slash game with no strategy involved. I actually like the game thus far but, this definitely not the final fantasy that I've played throughout the years.
is ff16 even a rpg or is it devil may cry with a story.
what was so good abt the showcase. I thought it was pretty mediocre at best.
I'm pretty sure this question was asked last year and we all saw how that played out.
Don't support this game. the developers lied and stated that a discount would be offered to owners of the previous psvr game. so far the only individuals to recieve a discount are people that purchased the game digitally while owners with a physical copy are expected to pay full price.
just because xbox showed something doesn't mean that it was automatically amazing. it was pretty mediocre and featured a few 1st party games mixed in with 3rd party multi platform games. content doesn't automatically equate to quality
looks good, but it seems like no man's sky with a bethesda twist. I cant get to excited abt that. hopefully it's a good game but I don't really see a new groundbreaking game.
mgs series were amazing games. 3 and 4 were absolutely master pieces
going the way of political correctness????? this comment makes no sense.
zelda has a story line? Actually do any nintendo 1st party games have decent (not even good) storylines?
it would be great if the price adjustment actually worked for owners of the previous psvr edition.
I miss the fantasy component of final fantasy. the octopath art direction compiled with a great story would go a long way. I miss Vivi.
Moss is pretty cool if you haven't played it yet.
I have a psvr 2 and the original quality games are kinda scarce. don't get me wrong the add ons are great but 600 dollars to play a few add ons doesn't really cut it. no backwards compatibility really hampers the system as the post launch drought is inevitable for most systems.
