Nice. Gift card sales are pretty rare. That's like free money. I'll probably pick up $50 worth.
Looooootta corporate bootlickers in this comments section.
Interested in what the new power will be. We've had time manipulation, telekinesis, and empathy. I would imagine it's pretty difficult to think of a new power that isn't boring, but also doesn't immediately turn someone into a full-fledged superhero. True Colors and its DLC were great though. Definitely better than LiS2.
I love all the Saints' Row games, but I'm in the minority in that I'm partial to 3 and 4 (4 being my favorite). I loved the complete absurdity and how OP you could become. I think you can always go more and more crazy if you're creative enough. That being said, I'm still not too disappointed in this b/c in the end I'm getting more Saints' Row.
I've always wished I could give Phil some truth serum and ask him what he thought of Don Mattrick. Even before the whole X1 announcement debacle, Don always struck me as kind of a douche and someone that no one around him would actually like.
I haven't owned a Madden since 2017, but I played 21 on Game Pass. The entire UI is a total nightmare. Honestly that needs to change more than anything else. It soooo slow and clunky and convoluted. It makes doing anything in the menus a massive pain.
I wonder if this will cut down on load times like the The Last of Us Remastered patch. That would be cool is Sony was doing that with all their 1st party titles.
I would be all over that black one, but I just don't trust a no-name site with nothing but 3d renders of their product. Hopefully it turns out to be fine and I'll order one post launch.
That's probably why the PS5 SSD has a good chunk less of usable space than the XSX SDD. A full 4K/HDR UI likely uses a lot of resources. Don't get me wrong, I hope XSX has this at launch. I'm just saying it's possible that this was an intentional decision to save usable space and resources for other things.
Expelling hot air from a system is a good thing. If the air coming out of the vent is hot, and the rest of the console is not, then the cooling system is doing its job properly.
Couldn't agree more. The team games are far and away the worst part about this game.
I'll definitely be playing on Survivor, but not on my initial play-through. I always go with the default difficulty first; especially with narrative focused games. I feel like it's a lot easier to get immersed and take in the story on the first play-through if I'm not doing a ton of dying/re-loading. To each their own all the way in this regard, but I like to reserve the higher difficulties for additional play-throughs.
I was so impressed with this game. I downloaded it assuming it was shovelware that would give me some easy trophies, but it actually has a decently addictive gameplay loop (to the point where I ended up buying the $4.99 DLC expansion as well). It also seems like it would be fantastic at teaching kids about both recycling and money management. I'd give it a 7/10 also, which is saying a lot considering it's free and I had the lowest of expectations for it.
Love Naughty Dog, love TLoU, and love Neil, but they couldn't have made these outpourings of public praise look any more forced if they tried. I think the crunch they do is completely unacceptable, but even if you don't (which is your right), you've got to see that the statements are totally worthless b/c they would never have come if Jason's article had never been published.
Knowing the 2K ecosystem, I'm envisioning this kid going back home and realizing he has to pay $4.99 to unlock his own character.
Mafia II was a really good, narrative-focused game. It got a lot of flak for it's empty open world. But honestly, I felt like the only reason the open world existed was to give the main story a better sense of place and a more grounded feel. I thought the ending was terrible, but I had a lot of fun with it. I thought Mafia III was great also, but I absolutely understand the flak that game got for its repetitiveness.
Press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start to pay respect.
Tencent is a seemingly terrible corporation, but if it means a remaster or sequel of Spec Ops: The Line, then at least it won't be a total loss.
Bummer. Great game with or without DLC though.
Should be cool. Bummed there's no use of the speaker though. Games like Ghostwire: Tokyo made really good use of it and it makes me want more games to try to get creative with it.
