Yeh they should remove the fee to play online. Give games for the sub but stop blocking people from playing their games online with your silly subscription, Apparently games don't make both console makers enough money they need to slap a block on your net under the guise of "security" yet as few years ago proved it was not that secure or reliable. Its cool to call people who defend steam fanboys but they managed to build much more secure and reliable service than XBOX live and P...
A 3rd of cyberpunk 2077 pre orders are from GOG, it pays devs even more than Epic and doesn't require their crap software too run. No one moans about GOG because they don't need buy exclusive rights to sell games. That's how you properly support a developer because steam and developer give you a choice not to tie you in to a system your forced to use.
Devs can release anywhere in they want most choose not too, epic are the ones telling Devs they cant. There is n...
you mean a store that had 0 competition for so long, just because everyone else was to lazy to get in to DD until 10 years later, I don't think most people care where it releases what they care about is Epic business practise, a crappy and under handed business practises under the guise of doing good for developers. Pick a better game than Rag Doll Kung Fu i owned it on the Playstation it was fun for a whole 30 minutes not a very good example.
Now Epic missed the train ...
All depends on the publisher, most publishers recently have pushed up their prices to meet console prices, EA, Ubisoft, etc, Wild Hunt was originally £35.99 on steam i found it cheap though for £18 on release from GoG, now CD project Red have followed the other devs and are releasing CP 2077 at £49.99.
See they say its to stop piracy, but piracy on PC is mostly done by
1, people who don't have jobs (teenagers/kids)
2, people who live in ...
You do realise these keys are removed from your account if they are tied to a stolen credit card, the Devs made their money selling to store not the person who used a stolen credit card to buy them, g2a is an open market most keys are from countries that sell them cheaper but because it's open you get people trying to pull a fast one with stolen cards, I don't buy from their but it doesn't effect the Devs one bit they made their money selling to retailer
Steam isn't 30/70 it was it's haven't been for awhile now, it is ridiculous but why do you care? Did anyone who published on epic give you a better deal? No so why should any single consumer give a damn? Point is we shouldn't they are competing for our money, if good will between two companies out to get money out of you is all it takes for your to use epic launcher and buy all your games their your a bad consumer and make it bad for every other consumer.
T...
Its not even 30/70 anymore it's something like 25/75 now, yes it's is outrageous but your publishing on a platform with the biggest install base on PC, I buy loads of paradox games, i buy all their 30 odd DLCs for all their games (which is alot) but let's be honest steam is more viable reliable has more security features and has tons and tons and tons of features that Xbox live and PSN, epic etc, can only dream of. Yet do paradox pass any sort of saving on to me if they published ...
Lol so many stupid comments, how is calling out Epic on their bullshit PR move make you a steam fanboy? i use every other launcher, Yet Epic buying exclusives to include better deals for devs. Oh so i should just download someone else launcher because they gave a developer more money, how damn gracious of epic, What is the incentive for me as the person who buys the game, the person who the end product is targeted for? a sub par launcher and a bullshit deal between two companies to try and ma...
Nah you just fleece your customers with a sub par launcher, while trying to spin that you giving developers more money is a good thing, yeh for you and the developer not for the consumer. Compete for my money Epic not browny points with your gullible fanboys
I read somewhere recently these site do this for hits because they know YouTubers will report the articles and there fans will flock to their site to slate them, they all innit for click baiting ppl for more hits around 30% of their traffic comes from youtube
Millennials are anyone born before or after 1983 so calling out unless Ur older than me 35 then your calling your self out
Lol changed an industry, No it has not, it became the most popular BR game, only because other BR games became popular. Changing an industry is a game like DOOM and Quake the Originals ofc that's changing an industry, a few companies trying to cash in on a BR craze has not changed anything, BR has not brought any new advancement to the industry so it has not changed anything all games are still the same, we still get tons of games that are not Battle Royale so he is right, Fortnite is a f...
None of you even know the difference it seems, having a few policies that could be classed as socialist are not a bad thing, ask anyone is the UK the NHS is a good thing it's a socialist style health service care for everyone not for the few. Its like calling China a communist country when that country hasn't practised communism for years, it's a dictatorship with a capatlist economy. Socialist policy ain't bad it's then people who run the country who are bad. There has ne...
Depends game engine don't work like you think they do, just cos most armchair developers say their engine shit doesn't make it so. Otherwise quakes engine wouldn't of been around for 2 decades
Having played with both for years, controllers don't require more skill, they are inferior input device for FPS game, you could simply say, Playing rocket league with a keyboard and mouse require more skill, because keyboard and mouse suck for playing a game like rocket league, Keyboard and mouse is far better for FPS games, controller is far better for driving games.
Skill has nothing to do with it
Steam has the best infrastructure than any other digital store out their, better than Epic, Origin, Uplay, PSN or XBOX live, none of these platforms have the developer support or 15+ years of platform development. Steam costs a lot more money to run and has way better user and developer features than other platform as well, the only thing they lack is quick customer service like Origin and uPlay do.
Why any one would care what they take % wise apart from developers is beyo...
Another day another retarded comment of 0 understanding, welcome to N4G
Hopefully why hopefully? What you think EA and Ubisoft will go epic they have their own store fronts you know cos they make their own games. Epic is just pulling a shitty PR stunt that doesn't benefit anyone as a consumers cos their launcher is sub par crap even origin launched with better features
Agreed so many people on here don't have a clue what they talking about and make comments defending epic. All their defending is shady practises and forcing consumers to one platform. All these crysll of competition obviously don't know what competition is
Never :p
