Online is something you play while waiting for a good single player game to come out. Doesn't have a story mode worth my time? There are plenty of good multiplayer games out there already. I can play tf2 for hours a day even after 6 years. Battlefield doesn't bring anything new to the table.
And in real life, you can actually mow the lawn! Doesn't make life any more worth living though.

yes, absolutely. Shrek is darker than most games Nintendo has ever made. Majoras mask might be the only one I recall where this isn't the case.

All the games you listed are gimmicks made to milk a franchise(except fatal frame maybe, haven't heard of it). They look incredibly uninteresting, could just as well have been a crappy painting game with pokemon stickers in it.

All the games have been remade in a new engine. So it's not old NES code. Think of it like how shovel knight takes up nearly 300 MB. All the music is prerendered in lossless audio format instead of the MIDI the NES shoved through its on board synth, etc. Not surprising.
