So sick of people assuming I'm male. Like what the fuck you calling me "brah" for, for all you know I'm a beautiful independent woman! I'm also totally offended that you didn't include a disclaimer that you may or may not be addressing people of multiple ethnicities in order not to be semantically exclusive to white privileged men.
Shape up, times are changing you know!
Jokes aside, I agree. Nothing against people with dysmorphia, but ...
I remember this topic being interesting one single time. Considering nothing has changed since everyone already got the point I'm wondering why people feel it deserves to be written articles about and called news...
zidane, Comcept does have something to do with both MN9 and ReCore, which microsoft also has something to do with. It would be bad business for MS for Comcept to lose credibility before the release of ReCore, therefore it's not a great surprise if they tried to force Comcept to hold the release of MN9 until ReCore made their main sales.
Especially since MN9 probably sucks because they spent all their time working on ReCore in the first place.
I'll assume that most people reading this article will think it's some bullshit from someone who invested a little too much and was a bit too hyped up. I thought so, at least.
But then I saw the demo. There is no way to describe it other than "bad". They literally haven't even tried. Jeez.
Mentioning HL3 despite the article having absolutely nothing to do with HL3 is a really cheap tactic for getting more clicks. It's really common.
People writing articles like "comon, hl3 is not getting released" and "RUMOR HL3 coming out tomorrow??!?!???" along with articles like these "vaporware: these games that I'm looking forwards to but probably won't get released. Oh, and also, HL3, needed to mention that" are too abundant.
And yet it falls within fair use.
You can disagree with those laws as much as you damn want, but the fact remains that it's the law. If you remove people's freedom of using someone's IP to produce a walkthrough, you must also remove their right to use the content in a review.
A walkthrough is a way to educate people about a product, which is an extremely important factor of keeping competition up. Many game publishers consciously try to bypass this by not ...
Correction: they don't own the rights to criticism, review and education about their own product, and for good reason. Would you take a company's word for how good their product is, or would you trust an objective review? If the fair use act is to be removed, that review would be illegal.
You should have learned this in your basic geography class. Jeez.
"I don't have anything to say about HALF LIFE 3 CONFIRMED, but I know mentioning it gives me clicks and puts me in the HALF LIFE 3 CONFIRMED section of the news tab"
Chances are they have something in store and are stalling progress to let the competition catch up, then BOOM, miles ahead and bankrupt competition.
Another possibility is that cpus don't get much better than this and the only real progress possible except optimization is to offload onto a quantum processor, which is still a long way off.
Parody and review are fair uses of copyrighted content. A let's play is commonly both of these things, thus copyright striking them is unlawful. If they don't want their background music to be on the video, they shouldn't have included said music in the game.
This is basic geography, people.
To all you fools complaining that the legacy collection doesn't have non-legacy games in them: all the megaman games past mm6 were made for different consoles. Meaning that they would have to spend many times as long as they did on this one to build new engines for each of them. It's not emulation, it's a remake. As far as I've gathered at least. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I think EA prospers by thinking about money and how to rip off gullible teenagers.
I'm sure I'd prosper too if I could pump out broken AAA games at 16 games per second and sell them for 60 dollars a copy.
Really? Absolutely irrelevant. Exclusivity is a weak move economically, and it restricts fans from enjoying the game. The only reason microsoft would try to force exclusivity on a game is if they were certain that the developers would make a significant amount of money in the first place, and want to reduce that profit for the sake of distributing it more in their favor and giving them free advertisement.
The devs are essentially giving microsoft a significant share of their profit f...
I lost a lot of respect for them just now. I don't see why they would restrict most people from purchasing their game. As if anyone who hasn't already bought an xbone is going to because there's an experimental title on there. This only hurts the fans who were excited to support the game in the first place.
MM7 through 10 were made after the x series had begun and differ greatly from the originals. I'd say they suffer from the same 90's design choices that make x age relatively poorly in comparison with the originality of the classics, and thus aren't on the same page. That's my opinion though.
Because the originals are timeless, while X is dated. Anyone who played X in the 90's ended up with an amazing 90's first impression of the game, but anyone trying them out for the first time now will most likely either be over that whole style or just not get it.
The originals are completely unique in style and can be enjoyed as such.
Except the fact that they are in such deep shit that they have announced that they are switching to a dlc-based market strategy, and that all their new announcements are remakes, including this one.
They are at the point where they are sitting out all their hands, which means that they are going for stability until they get lucky, which isn't going to happen as the market is now. I think they are either going to become a secondary developer helping out with other devs games, or ev...
That's a terrible analogy. Piracy is a complicated issue which you have no understanding of. The issue is different from every angle you look at it, so simplifying it to only be a single black and white dichotomy that serves your own point of view just doesn't work.
That covers the classic megaman games, thus legacy.
And don't worry, someone will make a new megaman game eventually, when capcom finally hits the bucket and sells all their IP to bail themselves out of bankruptcy. Let's face it, it's gonna happen.
That's overkill. This doesn't provide a service for unsatisfied customers, it provides a loophole for dishonest bastards.Follow steam's example if you want a fair compromise. It's obvious that this law was thought out by someone who has never played games before.
